Super convenient location, close to the beach and restaurants, bars/clubs. Super cute rooms and balconies. Very clean also. Parking garage entrance is rough, but otherwise great place.

Next to a loud bar
This hotel was in a great location, and the staff were all very nice and helpful. The room itself was spacious (we had a jacuzzi room). However, there were a couple negatives. Most important was the fact that the hotel was very close to an obscenely loud bar that played music 6 out of the 7 nights we stayed. The music played until 4:15 am (!!!), and prevented us from sleeping on several occasions. It was so incredibly loud that it could be heard 3 blocks away. I know this is not the hotel's fault, however I do believe they should alert their potential clients and work with the bar to have them lower the volume and/or turn off the music at a more reasonable hour. The other more minor issues were that the room didn't have a coffee maker or any complimentary toiletries like a shower cap, the view off the balcony was not good, the view from the pool is not good, and the floors are all hard cold tile.

Hard to sleep with the street noise
The hotel itself was pretty nice. We had a lot of trouble sleeping though, because the noise from the street was HORRIBLE. We were in a room that faced the street (rooms 101-103, 201-203, and 301-303) and the bar next door blasts music until 4am every night. The balcony doors do very little to quell the sound.

Stayed here for a week! And for the price you’re paying this hotel is very conveniently located near fifth avenue, which has all of the shops and restaurants you could want. Hotel and amenities were nice, however front desk lady could be a bit friendlier. Pretty loud in the rooms at night due to two clubs right in front, but if you bring some earplugs to sleep at night you’ll be fine.

The place was clean, there was a drying and washing machine, and it was very close to a lively street with lots of things to do. The beach was right behind that street. It was very comfortable and enjoyable. Additionally, the building was beautiful. A lot of greenery.

Just returned from a week long stay at Antera Hotel and Residences and it was a wonderful experience! All the staff are so nice and helpful, with recommendations for food and fun! The pool area is serene and the hotel being only two blocks from the beach gives you so many options! Pavel is an internationally trained mixologist, making delicious drinks and with a wide knowledge and travel experience, lots of great conversations! We had a room facing the street so yes it does get loud at night from the clubs on Quinta, but brought ear plugs and slept very soundly. I will definitely stay at Antera again!!!

comfortable and safe place to stay in playa!
Was a good stay for our time in Playa Del Carmen… I would definitely stay here again! Close to everything, staff were friendly and spoke English, was a little loud at night from the near by nightclub but we did not loose sleep over it.

Comfortable and convenient. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room spacious. Pool area attractive but there are no steps to get out of the pool. The pool surface is rough on your swimsuit if you can’t get out easily without sitting down. Pool not heated.
