Terrible food, below average as many other reviews mentioned, the first floor is so hot that you can't stay there for more than 20 minutes, you will sweat like a pig. Preferred room is a joke, drinks tastes like there is no alcohol on them, i had to go out and buy my own wine since the don silvestre wine they have is the worst wine i ever tried in my existence. i will never book here again, this was my anniversary, and i can tell you it was a complete nightmare.

Everything was great! Except for the lobby area. The AC doesn’t work and it’s hot. The buffet was downstairs and it was very uncomfortable because of the AC not working. So you’re eating and sweating. The pool service by Carlos and Fernando was phenomenal! Very attentive and friendly. Staff was all great. Would definitely stay here again and I hope that AC gets fixed asap!

The staff were amazing. They catered to all of our needs and were very friendly and approachable. The food could use some improvement, but it’s not terrible and definitely still edible. The best dining option for us was at Bluewater Grill. The views from our room was amazing. We also enjoyed the various activities around the hotel such as the pool volleyball and karaoke night. The drinks, while limited in options, were still great! We definitely recommend Secrets the Vine but we will probably choose to stay at another Secrets resort where the food is better.

I thought the property was beautiful and so very clean! Everyone was more than happy to help you with whatever you might need. The pools were amazing and service could not have been better. There was only one dining exp that we did not like and that was the blue water restaurant from the food to the service, steaks were overcooked and cold and waiter was not so friendly or really seemed to care if we were enjoying our dinner or not It was also never quiet on the side of the bldg we were on as there was a constant loud hum of the mechanical portion of one of the buildings

Resort is beautiful, staff is excellent. The ocean is too rough for casual bathing, so this is more of a pool destination. The resort needs ceiling fans to circulate the air, there are no fans in the lobby, at the restaurants, or in the rooms. Ventilation could be much better. The ocean front suite was gorgeous, with a panoramic view and a lot of space. The restaurants fell short of expectations but the buffet was awesome. I honestly looked forward to that buffet ever day and we are not 'buffet people'. I was hoping for more premium liquors, at least in the nice restaurants and lounges, but the real problem was the mixers. The juices weren't great and it seems like the carbonated mixers were not refrigerated as everything tasted flat. Oh, avoid the 'presentation' at all costs. Its just another high pressure 'timeshare' like presentation that will literally ruin your day. I don't care how much free stuff they offer you, avoid it at all costs. And the Isla Mujares? Avoid. It's filled with scammers and you won't walk two feet in any direction without getting harassed. Oh, and the van picks up at several resorts so you will spend 1.5 hours each way just to get to the boat. Still, it was a beautiful resort with excellent staff. There were a lot of anniversaries, weddings, etc and I imagine most of these people were repeat customers. Everyone seemed happy there.

We stayed in a Master Suite so this review covers preference. The Good: The food was outstanding in every resturant and cafe The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming The suite was fabulous We participated in a number of activities including Karaoke, Retro night, Piano Bar DJ night and all were very good entertainment. The let downs We used the butler/concierge in preference for 4 things and only 1 happened correctly 1. We asked for drinks to the room and they never came. This on its own I wouldnt single out but 2. We ordered an anniversary breakfast that was late after we reminded them 3. We asked for airport transfer that never got booked. Thats too many issues not to point it out. Finally, we live in Mexico but met family over on holiday from the UK. We were preference they were not so when I was offered hydrotherapy that was free with the suite I wanted my cousin to get it as she wouldve loved it. They didnt permit it. If I asked for her in addition to me Id understand but I didnt take my free session. Would we go again? Yes we would. We go to cancun 3-4 times a year and chose Secrets The Vine because family were staying. The experience wasnt perfect BUT there is so much to like about the hotel, staff, food, guest interactions we will go back. What I am not sure of is going preference again. I didnt think the service was there at all. But I would go back to the hotel more generally.

Our stay at Secrets the Vine was amazing - the staff were very friendly and attentive, and there was a variety of dining options, in particular the breakfast and lunch buffet options were exceptional in terms of variety and quality. The property is very nicely maintained and each space has been created with a lot of thought and attention. The beach and 3 pools were also really great and we never ran out of things to do. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

This hotel does not provide vip services that you pay for. Liquor is poor. I’m supposed to get top shelf and I did not. The pillows smell horrible. I waited 45 min for the dragon dinning food was mediocre. Hostess made me feel like I was a second class citizen. ( sit down) and waited for 45 minutes. Worst experience ever for the price I paid

This was a great place. Truly for the younger generation (18-30 year olds). It’s a little loud all day and night.
