Arrived at the hotel only to be told that they had no booking under my name. Apparently it's now under new management and all previous bookings have not be honoured. Had a triple room for £84 - told they could provide a single at £119 and a double at £199. Contacted Hotels.com for help - again useless. Only informed that no charge for the original booking had been taken. They even sent me an email later in the day asking how my checkin experience was!!! Offered no help in trying to find an alternative. Had to pay the new price for very disappointing rooms. Major road directly outside was noisy throughout the night. Single glazed windows meant zero sleep. 1 star hotel rating at best. Avoid!
I was very disappointed, the place was shabby, bannister coming off the wall. The room was strange, tv in the wrong place, bed was unstable and creaky. I asked for my money back as I wasn’t staying there. The man was aggressive and would not listen. Refused to give me a refund. Very upsetting.
Perfect location with easy walk to O2 or to Greenwich market. Fairly basic room; double bed (nice & long which was lucky as I'm tall & my heart sank to see a bed with bed ends)! 2 cupboards & a dining chair (bedside cupboard would've been nice). Radiator never got warm except the one in the bathroom did. Tea making facilities but no hairdryer or spare pillows, blanket or shower mat. We would have liked a coat hook on the door or hooks on the wall. However it was & quiet which was great & very clean with nice big towels. We'd probably stay again but not for any long stay.
My complaints about finding a cockroach was not taken seriously. Dust and forks were behind bed when I tried to kill the cockroach. Shower head was bad and no breakfast.
Great location for the o2 only about a 15 minute walk. Also on a street with plenty of amenities. Very friendly staff. Basic but just what you need for one night.

Cheap sleep option for the O2, nothing more.
If you are looking for a cheap sleep for the O2 then this will do.
Nothing else really, there is very little in the area and no one around if the bar is closed.
It was a very warm night so we had to sleep with the windows wide open so it was very noisy from 6am.
The O2 is 20 mins walk but plan to eat and drink at the venue.
Very disappointing in terms of quality and managem
I have to start by qualifying this review.
I missed a connecting flight that meant I was left high and dry by the delightful Easyjet team at Luton whilst trying to get to Inverness. It meant I needed to arrange alternative transportation so as to get to Inverness. In the end it involved 9 transportation steps and the hotel. I made a mistake and booked the hotel for the wrong night so accept that some of the fault lies with me.
However, I spotted this when arriving at the hotel because they did not have me registered and immediately informed the management of the hotel. There response was that this was an Expedia booking so if I wanted to try to get my money back for the wrong booking then I had to contact Expedia direct. The hotel was not willing to just switch the night so to speak allowing me to stay for Friday against the Saturday booking.
So I paid for the additional night and immediately called Expedia who in turn called the hotel but no one was answering so in the end I found the manager (I believe she was the manager) and handed the phone over. All was looking good in that the manager made all the right "noises" during the call and we agreed that I would phone through again the next day when the hotels computer system was switched back on.
Next day comes and again a problem in getting the manager so Expedia agreed to chase them for me. Eventually I got a call back saying that the hotel was not willing to refund the money. So much for the integrity of its staff!
First time I’ve stayed away from the centre of Greenwich. I found the hotel comfortable and access to the DLR and mainline rail service easy. Plenty of places to eat nearby and it’s only three or four stops on the bus to Greenwich market.

Kings William Hotel Overnight stay
I booked up for the simple reason of having a place to sleep overnight as I was attending the O2 arena in the area and this hotel provided me with exactly that. I didn't have any high expectations, as I had a pretty good idea what the place was like and was generally happy. Links to the O2 are very good with local buses going in either directional, 30 minutes on foot and the train station (10 minutes away
I would not recommend this place if you are looking for romance or a long stay. The room was very cramped I had to climb over my partner in the morning, but the place was tidy and fairly clean. Bed was very comfortable, but don't expect air conditioning cause there isn't any and if you have the window open it can get a little noisy cause of its location. Lighting and carpet in general areas needs a face lift and refit. No breakfast or any food on offer, but there are options on the same street for great food and reasonable price. This is your very basic hotel for overnight stay only.
Lady who was on the desk was very polite, accommodating and extremely helpful... Service was definitely not an issue here. As I say... it did exactly what I needed to, so I cant fault the place in that respect whats so ever.
Great service, good hotel (but your very basic overnight stay hotel) and needs a little bit of a face lift.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. Its close to the O2 so I find it convenient and a good price. The staff are friendly and I have got to know them having stayed at the hotel on several occasions now
We had a late check in, so not sure if the person at the desk was frustrated and wanted to leave or always grumpy.
The credit card machine was broken so had to pay cash which was inconvienent.
There is no elevator/ lift so you must carry all your possessions up the stairs.
The room itself was clean and we were fortunate to receive a family room which gave us some space.
The bathroom was clean. The shower head in our room was useless. Gets water everywhere but on you. Had to find that one start of water to be able to rinse off.
No additional toilet paper provided. Luckily we caught the cleaning lady to ask for some since the front desk does not open until noon.
This was a perfectly serviceable room. There were quite a few stairs to negotiate as it was an attic room. But the porter took my bag so I didn't schlepp my case up the stairs myself. The room was very small but clean which was all that I cared about as I only needed a place to flop my head for the night. This hotel would be ideal for anyone looking for a cheap overnight stay after an event at the O2 as it is only minutes away.
A hotel in a v. convenient location that won't hit the pocket too hard - good for business stuff, definitely not for honeymooners.
However, be warned, most of the rooms face the main road outside. If you can sleep through relentless London traffic on a busy A-road then by all means go for it.
Basic, no thrills, but spotlessly clean, good thick mattress and we'll placed for the O2, a short bus ride away, which if going the other way will take you right into the city centre. Greenwich park/museum is a short walk away. No breakfast on offer, but a number of reasonable options nearby, and pubs and restaurants for the evening. We had a room at the back so didn't even get disturbed in the morning by road noise. There was a powerful ensuite shower with fluffy towels and basic toiletries and beverage tray, although I did move the kettle aside from being under the large TV.
in short, good value for money, and would stay there again if needing to be in that area.

Trip to the O2
Pleasantly surprised. For Greenwich, close to the O2, the price was excellent. I only had a single room for 1 night, but it was more than adequate. En suite with shower, VERY clean, keycard to come and go at will. I couldn't have wished for more for the price!
