Great location - but reception desk very slow, not enough lifts and room was tiny with a bathroom not that clean. Perfect spot to base yourself but lots could have been better

This hotel’s central location in the heart of the city is its biggest selling point. With easy access to local trains, it’s perfect for getting around to shops, restaurants, attractions, and shows. If you're looking to explore the city, this is a great base. The rooms, while very small, are clean and well-maintained. Don't expect much space, but if location is your priority, this hotel delivers. Ideal for travelers who plan to spend most of their time out and about, rather than in the room.

Front entrance has only steps, so the skinny old doorman barely lifted my suitcase up for me. Later I found the side door with sloop, but all the smokers are gathering there. The room had electric kettle and iron, but no small fridge.

Perfect location for first time visitors to London! You can walk to many highlights of the city, you are right in the middle of the theatre district and there is a tube station just a few minutes away from the hotel. I would definitely stay at the Strand again!

Lovely place to stay close to some of the very best art in London. It was quite special. My only complaint was that the bed was quite unevenly worn. I find this at many places, nice or not. Solo travelers always sleep on the same side of the bed, and hotel personnel never turn the mattresses, and since they themselves don’t sleep on them, they don’t know how uncomfortable they are.
