My first impression of the hotel was not a good one because of the check in experience I had. I got to the hotel at 9am because of my early flight and honestly i was quite exhausted cos of the long flight from Australia. I went to the reception with my passport presented and said that I'd like to check in, however, the male staff member responded, 'You would like to check in but it's too early for that, check in time is 2pm.' He subsequently pushed the passport back towards me and honestly I was shocked by the response. Maybe the process is different from what we do in Australia I guess. No checking in the system at all nor offer kindly if they would like their luggage stored somewhere and I had to ask for it myself and after handing my suitcase to another staff I got this sort of keycard back without a word or explanation. As a former front office manager, I found this all very appaling.
After killing 5 hours wandering around in London, I came back to check in. This time the receptionist was much nicer and welcoming. She gave me directions on the lifts and restaurant and everything was explained succinctly
The room was sufficient for a solo traveller. Apart from the heating being way too much for me, I couldnt fault anything else. The highlight of my stay is breakfast at the restaurant. The team was excellent and i would like to give my special thanks to Esnico, Fabiola and Adriana. They made me feel so welcome and turned my impression of the hotel around. THANK YOU!!!!!!
