Didn't like the door to the housekeeping room on the floor was always open, and that the room itself was extremely shabby, with partially painted walls and significantly damaged floors

Me and my husband stayed at The President Hotel for 2 nights. Everything about this hotel was excellent. The rooms and hotel were spotless, the beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable. The location was good for public transport or walking to most attractions, which was what we did. Staff were always pleasant and very helpful. Easy and reasonable priced parking under the hotel. Buffet breakfast had a huge variety and well prepared. We wil definitely be staying again.

Nice hotel and restaurant. However our room was overly hot, and the guests next door were loud for large parts of the evening.bed size was a double but seemed a very small double. Ok for a quick one night stay but wouldn’t recommend for longer based on our stay

The hotel room was clean and comfortable with good facilities. Very convenient for Russel Square tube. Breakfast was good but v busy. Good restaurants / pubs nearby. My only small observation is that the lounge needs some maintenance, I.E carpets, bar lighting, etc and a lot more attention to detail re the cleaning. I.E mirrors, arms of chairs etc. Small details would make this a better and even more appealing hotel.

Check in was easy and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was okay however there was a red stain on the carpet it almost looked asif it might’ve been blood and the bathroom door didn’t shut, luckily it was myself and my partner but otherwise it wouldn’t have been very convenient

We stayed at the President Hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary, the rooms were basic but very clean and although our room was close to the main road we heard nothing. W felt a little let down by the restaurant as we were encouraged to go as it was quiet, we were directed to a table by the server however it was reserved. Upon checking with the bar staff we were told we couldn’t sit there as it was reserved for a jazz night but could have a sofa with a coffee table which we declined. The server and the bar person were having their own frustrated conversation so we left and went elsewhere. The breakfast the following morning was a complete contrast, great teamwork, polite and courteous staff, the food was the best hotel breakfast food we had eaten in a long time, it felt as though thought had been given to the options provided. Parking was great and directly under the hotel and was fairly priced. I would definitely stop here again

Overnight in Theatreland, London

We stayed overnight combining it with a Theatre trip. Hotel is well located, just a few metres from Russell Sq. tube station and bus stops. It was slightly noisy as we could hear people in adjoining rooms. I guess that comes with age of the building. That said we enjoyed our stay and breakfast was excellent!

The main entrance hall and check in gave the air of grandeur, the room however was bland, worn carpet, marked walls and a shower not fit for purpose, but it was clean.

The room was a bit smaller than expected but it was okay. The bathroom is a lot more modern than the bedroom. Bedroom could be renovated, so it would look a bit more beautiful. Room service was good, and the bathroom was also very clean. Some workers at the reception were a bit rude but others were very kind.
