BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, it is a scam We could not stay in this room, as it was already occupied by bed Bugs, cockroaches. We had to leave this room immediately. and we complained accordingly by phone, because there is not any reception. Also we haven't get a refund

No fire evacuation plan affixed at the room door!! No lights indicating the fire exits THIS IS AGAINST THE LOW AND A VERY SERIOUS METTER . Even if they should have give me the money back coz the pics on website are not the place itself. Will report all to local council. You STEELING CUSTOMERS. The picture of the property is not the front door, lobby etc., the pictures provided in no way represent the true condition of the property. The place is crawling with bugs. Left after just 5 hours, did not spend the night.

Bed bugs!! Horrible place. Avoid at all costs!
I would not be able to leave a low enough score. When I arrived, there was nobody to let me in. Several of the pictures in this listing are NOT OF THE HOTEL. The first picture in particular looks like some sort of reception area. This is a complete con because there is NO RECEPTION AREA. There is just a red front door into what obviously used to be a bedsit that had been updated for the room photos and then left to rot since. My room was INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. I counted 16 on the bed alone at one point. Those were just the ones I could see on the surface. There were more on the walls and floor. The baths were also filthy. They don't have their own reception phone number either. They use a managed service shared by other hotels and when I tried to complain and get moved to another room, or get my money back, the people in the call centre kept saying they would pass the message on to someone at the hotel. Nobody from the hotel got in touch. Eventually, at 04:30, I gave up trying and simply phoned hostels and hotels around London to find somewhere else to sleep. I couldn't stay somewhere with so many bugs! I then had to work with Hotels.com to get my money back. They needed authorisation from the hotel to issue a refund! I had to email the hotel proof of the infestation (photos and video) in order to get them to give my money back. They should be kicked off Hotels.com because they're a complete con and rip-off.

The room did not look like the pictures, it was run down and infested with bed bugs! Besides the booking site did not mention that the bathroom was shared, so the room description was totally deceptive. Originally I had a booking for 2 nights but I ended up leaving in the middle of the first night and sleeping into my car as the bugs were walking all over me, that was gross, this room was just not useable. The booking website won't give any money back, so that reflects badly both on the owners of this room and on Expedia for letting such rooms be advertised on its service without a chance to perceive the difference. This is a total rip off.

This listing entirely misrepresents the property. The picture in the listing is not this property. It is the entry to a Brixton restaurant several blocks away. The only evidence of the property in this listing is a windowless red door between two retail stores, with the address on it. There is no front desk. When I called the phone number of the property, a non-English-speaking tenant answered the door and escorted me to a shared room on the third floor. Ten minutes later, the proprietor phoned me and met me on the 3rd floor to escort me to my actual room, which was bare. The bathroom was shared. I was charged £50 as a deposit and was promised it back. It hasn't yet shown up in my bank account. Thankfully I'm pretty self-reliant and I made do with what wasn't there. Once settled in, it is a place to sleep. Drop the key in the red box when you're done. Outta there.

No staff, only a phone # to contact. Window blinds could not be opened, so no idea as to the weather outside. Had to go to the front door, 2 floors down, to find out. Room smelt musty, caused, as I discovered, by a water leak soaking the carpet in the passage and part of the room. Window couldn't be opened to air the room. Served its purpose, but very disappointed. Would not use again, except as a last ditch.

If you like german cockroaches, smashed and missing windows, broken bed, broken chair, no Wi-Fi and that 1st photo is a lie that is not reception keep scrolling untill you find HSBC it's the red door, also took us an hour to get in because no one answered the phone had to call hotel.com to do the chasing.

Horrendous. Absolutely horrendous. Phoned up to arrange check in 72 hrs before as instructed. That was fine. They logged our expected arrival time. Phoned up just before arrival as instructed, office closed (closed before stated opening hours on automated message). Then no one showed up to let us in. Couldnt get a hold of anyone so we were stuck with nowhere to go and nowhere to sleep! Horrendous service! We had to book into another hotel for the night. AVOID!!!

Unprofessional and disappointing - beware
First night Called 3 times, no response. Same night I get a call from them from another number, one hour before check in ends while I had plans for the night and for that reason couldnt go and check in anymore. Agreed on doing it the next day and called many times, was promised to get in, but no. Again, I get a call one hour before check in ends and I'm already elsewhere. Very unprofessional and scammy. I didn't get my 2 nights and doubt getting a refund.

One of the most horrifying experiences I’ve ever had. AVOID THIS PLACE. It is a SCAM. The pictures you see on the website is not what awaits you in this hostel. I paid for a double bed & got thrown into a COLD (heating not working) box hole. The bathroom had no hot water, no toilet paper, paint buckets and waste littered the entire place. The front of the building advertised is a picture stolen from the internet of a different property around Brixton. You will be lost trying to locate this place. Those who run this property have multiple phone numbers and you never get to see them or get issues resolved. They operate a covert sort of mission which I wouldn’t advise you get entangled with because this property is not theirs. I contacted Expedia for my refund upon seeing this Shabby place & was on the call for practically half a day with no refund. AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE. I will take this scam up and expose all involved in ripping people off

Worn down, failing electicity, questionable Fire protektion. No toilet paper, few untilites and broken/ torn pots and pans in kitchen. Great neighborhood although!!
