Located on a quiet tree lined road, this bay-windowed classic has been in family ownership since 1931. We love the way the windows flood the rooms with light and capture the sun all day long. The house is semi-detached and has large rooms and oversized windows. Period features include high ceilings, picture rails and gorgeous wood floors throughout. Private parking is available for one small car and one large car. Your children will love the garden!
You will find everything you need for a long-term stay including 100 Mbps Virgin WiFi and a very well equipped kitchen. You can walk to the park and a variety of shops including Waitrose in 10 minutes. You can walk or take the bus to Canons Park for the Jubilee Line or Harrow & Wealdstone for the Bakerloo Line. The latter also offers the London Overground service reaching Euston in 12 minutes.
A welcoming entrance hall with coat stand and shoe rack leads to the lounge, dining room and kitchen. The new kitchen has all new appliances: gas cooker, washer/drier, fridge freezer, microwave and small dishwasher. There is a part glazed back door leading out to the garden. The stylish lounge has a piano, a small library, a 31 inch smart Sony TV, a feature fireplace and a bay window with a commanding view of College Hill Road. The spacious dining room has a beautiful mahogany sideboard, antique bookcase and table for eight overlooking the sun terrace and garden.
Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed and study area set within the bay window. The second bedroom has a picture window overlooking the garden and a day bed which can be either a single or a very comfortable king. Baby gates can be fitted to this room and at the top and bottom of the stairs if requested. Both bedrooms are huge and are complete with a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third bedroom is tiny and only has a single bed and chest of drawers.
There is a full bathroom and a separate WC. The bathroom is fully tiled with bath, shower, vanity cabinet and heated cupboard. The house is double glazed, well insulated and has gas central heating with an easy to control Nest thermostat. There are ample power sockets throughout.
The garden is an oasis of calm and features a suntrap terrace, a lush lawn, a lazy hammock, a BBQ and a swing/slide/climbing frame. The herbaceous border runs the entire 23 meter length of the garden. The garden ends in a veggie patch backed by bushes and trees. There is side access with a secure covered storage area, measuring 2m by 5m, for pushchairs and bicycles.
The house does have a couple of quirks. There are no curtains in the kitchen or dining room and no internal doors on the ground floor. This greatly improves flow between the rooms and gives an airy open-plan feel. However it is not ideal for your overnight guests sleeping on the double sofa bed in the lounge.
