Dated but decent, relative to price point.

Honest review! 1st impression was not not the best. Online photos were not entirely accurate :-) It is a dated hotel that is ripe for upgrading works. That said, the location is brilliant and condition relative to the price. Notting Hill gate, Kensington Palace Gardens, Hyde Park are a mere 15 min and 30 min walk respectively. Fantastic connectivity via Shepards Bush or Holland Park Stations. The huge Westfield Mall is a 8 minute walk away. We walked to Marble Arch within 40mins. The staff are also brilliant and ever helpful. Special mention must be made of front desk staff Ismail.

Overall, a decent hotel to stay. It's conveniently located by Central line underground, about 5 minutes walk to the nearest station. It's close to Westfield shopping mall, less than 10 minutes walk. The room is clean, staff is friendly. The hotel building itself is a bit dated. The "fitness center" is just a few elliptical running machines without any weight training equipment. Stay here if you want to avoid the busy crowd, and for the cleanliness. Would I stay here again, probably not 😶.

What happened to free breakfast?

Staff and services were excellent. Room is clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that I saw somewhere where a free breakfast was included and that did not happen?

Very old hotel. Small rooms with very limited functionality (only 2 sockets can you believe). I would never call this a Hilton hotel. I used the laundry service once and they almost overcharged me for 4 times of the original price. Stay sharp if you decide to live here.

We were disappointed with the general decoration of the room. The room had obviously been extensively used but the woodwork in particular was tired and needed redecorating. The quality of the tiling in the bathroom was poor in some positions where we believe new tiling had been put over old tiling. The marble top to the boxing below the basin did not fit and should have been replaced to cover the new tiling edge and corner beading. Having been involved in building work all my life, I was not impressed with the standard, especially from such a high class hotel.
