When we checked in at the Dorsett Hotel, Maria has made our experience exceptional. Upon arrival, we mentioned that we feel more comfortable in a room with a window due to mild claustrophobia. Without hesitation, Maria went out of her way to ensure we were placed in a room that met our needs. Her attentiveness and care made us feel instantly welcomed and at ease, setting the perfect tone for our stay. Maria’s genuine commitment to guest comfort is clear from the moment you meet her. Even in just our first interactions, she has shown why we choose the Dorsett time and time again. Her efforts today have only strengthened our loyalty to this wonderful hotel. Very comfortable bed, room was very quiet, which was a nice surprise given the hotel is sandwiched between Shepherds Bush Green and a tube line. Would stay again

A great find with super-friendly and helpful reception staff (Neha and Seaham) with good facilities. A pleasant bar area, decent breakfast and would definitely stay again if I was in that part of town.

Delightful hotel, just a few niggles

Always a warm welcome here, despite the rather long queues at 3pm! Beautiful architecture, great location, and very clean hotel. Given 4 stars as a few maintenance issues need addressing such as hinges broken on bedroom cupboard, and food service (including room service) stops at 10pm!

Parts of the hotel feel ‘stuck in the times’, nit matching up to the beautiful bar / reception area. We were kindly upgraded from a standard room to an executive room but even considering this, it didn’t feel worth the price of even a standard room. The carpet felt really gross, the curtains were dirty and stained. The sheets at least felt/appeared clean. There was a towel hung behind the bathroom door which felt like it was left by the previous guests. Overall not the cleanest. Really expensive.

The lobby of the hotel is lovely & that’s the only positive really. We had to request to move rooms as the aircon was broken in October, the room was 25 degrees and felt like a sauna. We asked to be moved as we had a 1 year old and was told to wait for maintenance to fix. They never shown up and it was getting late so we called again where we was greeted by another member of staff who was brilliant, an asset to the hotel. She tried her best to move us and could only move us to a disability suite, which was fine as long as we could get away from the heat. The next suite was cooler, but was just dirty on the walls and curtains. The bathroom smelt like it hadn’t been cleaned and when we tried to call about this we discovered our phone was broken so there was no contact out of a disability room. We told reception and they confirmed someone would be with us from maintenance to fix. Nobody showed so we had a broken phone and on-going issues. The shower was freezing one moment, scolding hot the next so wasn’t able to shower properly. In the mist of all of this we had lost something whilst between rooms. We asked the reception if it had been handed in and they confirmed they would check with housekeeping. We had to chase this 4 times, all times nobody asked for our room number to actually be able to update us with an outcome. The staff were dismissive! We then chased several times more to be advised housekeeping didn’t come across this. Very poor experience on our newly engaged trip.

I think all the money and effort went into the shared spaces, entrance lobby etc which felt grand and impressive, the room itself was clean but quite scuffed and tired however. Also there's an odd deposit system (in case I steal the coat hangers?) and a service charge/tip/percentage added by default to the accommodation cost which feels very American and doesn't leave the best taste in your mouth. Staff pleasant and location good though.

Ideally located in a middle class working neighborhood, property was easy to get to from LHR, clean, comfortable and safe. Staff was knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. Many food and dining options in walking distance. Bus for downtown London was right in front of the hotel (40 mins) and subway was a few blocks away. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful Dorsett

Wonderful hotel in every respect. Modern, great ambience, clean and with lovely, attentive staff. Made my wife feel extra special on her birthday. Highly recommended. Great location - close to O2 Empire, Westfield shopping centre and lots of bars and restaurants. Definitely coming back!
