Had to check in miles away and go back and forth a long way. The location of the apartment is not where it was on the app, making me walk yet further in the morning. Inside it was tired and shabby with marks on the floor, paint peeling away and a mattress that was like a hostel

Overall, it was a plearurable experience staying in this executive apartment. Contrary to some of the posts about the check in experience, I found it to be okay. It takes a little planning in advance to ensure you go to the correct office and plan on getting to the assisgned apartment, but that's about it. The location of the apartment was excellent, it was in a modern building, and it was quiet. The carpeting in the bedrooms should be ripped out and have the nice hardwood floors extended throughout. Other than that, the apartment was in good condition.

Nice Apartment - Check-In Slight Painful
Check in is a bit of a pain - be sure to check the procedure if you're due to arrive after 9pm as you have to travel quite a distance to a different office to collect your keys. Having said that, the staff were very lovely and the apartment itself was nice too.

Misleading marketing
The advertising on Expedia is at the very least, very uninformative. The fact that the key is only available from a very difficult to find office (no sign) close to King’s Cross Station, is never mentioned in the Expedia advert. This, together with the fact that the contact number in the email received once booked & paid for, is totally wrong, raised suspicions. And, rightly so. For traveller’s with luggage this causes problems as check-in is at 3pm and it results in more taxi rides than it should. The Clerkenwell apt was on a very busy road; there is no double-glazing on the bedroom windows so noise levels through the night are high. The boiler emits such heat that the apt is very warm unless the windows are kept open. The float in the toilet cistern in the 2nd bathroom was faulty; broken off bits of plyboard in the wardrobes and a shower panel threatening to come off the only rail it is still on, are but a few things which make for a rundown feel in this dinghy apt. It is not bright and nicely decorated as the photographs shown.

beautiful apartment in excellent location
check in was a problem as information given to Expedia was wrong. Check in time was given as earliest 3pm and latest 3pm. And the phone number given was one in the Czech republic without the correct country code. When I did narrow it down, nobody answered. I had to call Expedia who were also unable to make contact. I never heard from anybody at Expedia again. Fortunately I had the presence of mind to go to address on the confirmation which turned out to be the office for Clerkenwell Apartments where the staff were surly but I got the information I needed. The apartment was great but I did not like the way the accommodation description intimated that the apartment woud be in Herbal Hill and only once I had paid and received confirmation did I see that the accommodation would be in various locations. Fortunately, the apartment was not far away but the location was not good as the one I thought it was going to be. So, a stressful experience overall. otherwise all was extremely good.

While the location was nice (5 Margery lane) We would never rent from them again. The room looked nothing like the pictures. Terrible dorm room furniture and no basics for cooking (even salt or pepper). Also ran out toilet paper pretty quickly. On day 2 someone ringing our door bell. Someone from the local utilities company wanted to come in and service something at the apartment and we didn't get any notice at all. Then someone from the buildings maintenance crew came because another neighbor complained about the toilet being loud, which it was. and i had to ask my wife to leave the bathroom where she was getting ready for the day so he could fix it. We just had a terrible time in the actual apartment and were pretty upset it looked nothing like the pictures. Wouldn't rent here again.
