Pros - walking distance to many restaurants, bars and excursions. Staff were helpful and kind. Gardens made a nice escape as there were several animals hiding in and under the canopy. The bar was a mellow place to relax and/or grab a glass of wine and hang out in the courtyard. Breakfast was different each day, which made for a lovely surprise in the morning. Lucy was a wonderful distraction and added to the stay. Having a kitty around is quite calming. Cons - we stayed in Room 1, which was at the top of the main buildings stairs. Which is also over the office; over the music (live daily and also played over speakers under the deck of Room 1); over the kitchen and surrounded by the two morning roosters who took turns starting at 3:30. Needless to say there was little quiet and you might want to ask for a room in a different part of the establishment if you are looking for peace and quiet. The only other issue I had was there should be two folks serving/cleaning at breakfast as most days the coffee was empty and tables were dirty.

Over the top staff and facilities. Rooms were perfect, very clean along with outstanding ambiance. Jazz in the afternoon, refreshments by the pool, and a friendly cat checking in on everyone. Highly recommend, with the convenient location to Duval Street a bonus!

A veritable oasis right off Duval St. The rooms were beautiful and well-appointed. The staff was fantastic. It’s a bit of a throwback to a calmer, less hectic time. It feels classic and timeless. I’ll be back we’ll sure.

Outstanding in every possible way. We stayed in the Carriage House (large room above the pool bar)—it was gorgeous. The property was gorgeous. The staff were amazing. My wife and I commented many times about how superbly the property is kept. They make you feel like part of a small family. The location is also prime. Can’t say enough good things. We frequent key west and enjoy staying in different places. Last year we paid a pretty penny for a junior suite at Ocean Key, and this was better. All that said, the Gardens will be my new/only spot going forward.

Nice little gem for adults in Key West
Everything was excellent, very calm very beautiful property. Nice heated pool 24 hrs open, extremely good staff. Very glad I chose them for my stay. Would not had enjoyed as much, honestly. One street from Duval St, so yeah location was awesome. Parking is definitely tight, so big cars have to be extra careful. Noise from the outside was almost non existent. Try the wines and the bottles if you like them. Decent breakfast. Bar in front of the pool, see the turtles! I mean, is a nice beautiful calm hotel. Really enjoyed my stay here.

We had a fantastic experiance staying at this charming, cozy hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The location was perfect—tucked away in a quiet area but still close to all the local attractions. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, offering fresh and delicious options to start the day. Our room was beautifully furnished with antique pieces, adding a unique and homely charm. Plus, the balcony provided a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

Incredible hotel right in the middle of key west, not even two minutes from the main strip on duval street. The grounds are stunning with unique characteristics that bring the hotel to life. The breakfast was the only disappointment from our stay due to the small portions and lack luster delivery which stood out compared to everything else in the property. However, there are plenty of options for breakfast within a short walk.
