Hidden costs everywhere
The resort is lovely, although it is a fair way out of town and the shuttle is infrequent and stops at 4.30. My main issue is the sheer level of hidden extras. A $55 resort fee that seems to cover things you would expect as part of any hotel experience namely a bottle of water and some pool towels. Worse it doesn’t include parking and you’re charged another $25 for mandatory valet parking when the car park is just a standard parking lot next to the hotel. It’s clearly just an attempt to fleece people of money and it leaves a poor taste in the mouth. So for this reason I would not recommend until they sort these issues out.

Parrot Key Hotel is such a beautiful property. It has a lush tropical feel with 4 gorgeous pools. My week there was so relaxing.

A lovely six night break - hotel is beautiful with an amazing location on the water with 4 good small pools and plenty of sunbeds and towels. Bar and reception staff are very nice and cleaning team does a great job. It’s a little bit out of town but that’s fine as there is a shuttle but if you want to stay local there are a few nice small family run places - one a Mexican and the other a Thai Japanese menu and both are excellent.

Relaxing in Key West
From the minute we arrived, the service was exceptional and very friendly. The property is well-cared for and has everything you could possibly want to relax and have fun. It's quiet when it should be and has awesome relaxing nooks here and there (hammocks under palm trees by the water and ocean breeze, comfy adult-only poolside lounges, or adirondack-style deck chairs on your porch surrounded by tropical vegetation and the occasional wild chicken. Loved everything about it, except having to leave!
