I liked that the room was clean, the service was friendly, and the hotel was on a direct bus line to the base area of Edinburgh castle. However, it was very strange to have a frosted bathroom door right in front of the toilet seat. It might have been just my room, but if you are sitting on the bed, you are looking directly at the bathroom and you can see the shadow of someone sitting on the toilet.
The rooms are standard European size-270-300 sq. ft. for a 2 twin bed room. The size is perfect for people who want a place to sleep and shower, not lounge around in. There are plenty of outlets to plug in phones or computers. The only shortcoming in my view was that there was no small nightstand between the beds to put the tv remote or our drinks.

Disappointing
Modern rooms but VERY compact, anyone bigger than average build would struggle to use the shower with the bi folding door. Also not much room in the sleeping area for luggage so if you’re more than one person you will struggle for room.
Breakfast wasn’t much to write home about, although in fairness they do state it is only continental and complimentary, not much seating capacity either so don’t go at a busy time.
All in all don’t book this hotel if you like to relax and enjoy hotel amenities, this is basically just a place to sleep and nothing else, pay a bit extra and have full facilities.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Denada was especially kind when we checked in. She made sure we had everything we needed to settle in for some rest.
Great location, walkable, rooms were fairly new / renovated, great bathroom / shower. The room we stayed was very small for two people with luggage. It was as described, but in the pictures it does look bigger. Overall, great place.
