The property is being renovated so there is a little inconvenience and smell. But I can see the potential of the final product and therefore gave it five stars. And, the renovation had nothing to do with the service of the staff, which was excellent. I was fortunate in being able to indulge in the new menu of the restaurant. It was very delicious. The live music and the piano bar are terrific. The number of patrons I saw walking the facility will bear witness of my five star review. A great place in a wonderful part of the historic section of Ft Lauderdale.

A great hotel with tremendous history in perfect location. The only thing that kept it from five stars was parts of the hotel are in the middle of renovations. Once that is done I am confident a lot of five star reviews are in store for this hotel

The hotel was in a wonderful location! Wonderful. But it was extremely old. The elevator was scary. We got a false Fire alarm at 4:30am in the morning. With no direction. No lights in the room. Only motion lights which is a pain when u need to do something and u can’t unless you keep moving toward the lights. We had to have maintenance come in and remove the motion lights.

I loved everything about the property. I was a bit disappointed with conflicting information giving by the person who checked our luggage since we were early for check in. She told us that the beach was a 10 to 15 mins walk. Thankfully, one of the front desk staff was nice enough to provide us the ride circuit information

Overall the hotel was awesome however our mattress was awful springs poking us in the back, legs, all over. Our friend who we booked with us her room had a much thicker mattress and she said it was great. Luck of the draw I guess

Always a pleasure...
Always a pleasure staying at The Riverside Hotel. We requested a balcony and we got a very Cool one one the northwest corner on the 10th floor. We love drinking our morning coffee watching are the people and boats going on their way to wherever. We had one minor difficulty which was taken care of very quickly - we couldn't lower one of the window blinds! We also were fortunate enough to see the Los Olas Art Festival Part one and two this year. We are making plans to visit next year.

I really like the look and feel of this hotel. The location to the airport and cruise port is good. About a 25 dollar uber ride from the airport and to port everglades. If we cruise out of port everglades again I wont book anywhere else. Restaurant options are plenty and right outside the hotel doors.
