My stay was very good at the AC Hotel, Fort Lauderdale. We came in early so it took a little longer for our room to be ready but the lobby was comfortable. Our room was great, I loved everything about it, especially no old carpet on the floor. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Our first bump in the road was checking in. Checking in late will trigger a cancellation with Expedia but the receptionist was able to re-enstate our room. A necklace was stolen from my room and when I called the manager he accused me of cussing his staff and made little to no effect in helping retrieve it. Other then that the property it’s self is great. As a vegetarian it is not work buying the breakfast buffet package because all we could eat was bland potatoes and fruit.

I really did not enjoy how warm the room was, the AC was locked at 70F for the lowest temperature, I barely slept as I was up all night feeling hot. I also did not enjoy the additional fees that were non refundable, I was forced to spend it at the bar or at breakfast. Definitely would not recommend this place.

I did not get the bed I booked the first night of my stay. Staff were rude about this. 2 queen beds and a balcony is not an upgrade when you bought and paid for a king bed. They kept insisting the room they provided was an upgrade. I kept telling them an upgrade is everything I paid for plus more. Giving me things I do not want is not an upgrade. Hotel was unwilling to refund me the amount I felt appropriate for this. Furthermore the hotel charges for beach chairs and bike rentals whether you want them or not. So this is a big cash grab. Furthermore, a $25 a day room credit for purchases is strictly per day. A 3 day stay is not a $75 credit. They are too sticky about this . Again. Hard to get along with. If you do stay here, be aware there is construction noise with a hotel being built next door. If you still choose to stay here , add on the breakfast with your booking. Much cheaper than buying at property.

The worse experience ever! My flight arrived at midnight in Fort Lauderdale. When I got to the hotel almost at 1am, they sold my room and there was no room available. I had to scramble to find a hotel to sleep and a weekend getaway that was supposed to be by the ocean, turned out to be in a hotel by the airport. The staff was rude and arrogant. Never ever again! Be aware of this hotel.
