Great Location

Great convenient location for visiting all the sights in Edinburgh. The property was very functional with a good quality breakfast. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, special mention to Ava going the extra bit to make our stay special.

The hotel struggles to keep up with its residents. I had a horrible sewage smell in my room. They sprayed air freshener and opened the door which then latched onto the blinds which were electronic and then could not be closed. The smell came quickly back. They do not clean the rooms. Charge for everything. And there is no one who can answer questions. I have stayed another similar properties in this city which I would return to. Not this place.

Be careful when booking Wilde Aparthotel.

We arrived at the hotel having prepaid 5 months earlier to be told they had cancelled our booking to which we were entitled to a refund. Not particularly impressed by their actions and we informed them we weren’t moving until they found commensurate alternative accommodation which they finally agreed to but not without the fight first. Bookings obviously got hot and expensive during the fringe and this hotel was keen to seek profits rather than customer service.

Location was great! Rooms were quite small by American standards, but quality kitchen and bath fixtures. Toilet seats in Scotland are a little utilitarian, but hey, it’s not the USA. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Like having laundry room for self service washers and dryers. Nice touch with the espresso machine and fresh milk and waters in the fridge. Refills were free at the front desk. Nice place and would recommend to others.

This was a wonderful property. My wife and I loved our room and were very excited about the location of the hotel. We were just below the castle and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to around Edinburgh.

Staff wete very welcoming and helpful. Room was nicely decorated with a small kitchen efficiency. Excellent breakfast. Great location on a quiet street yet within walking distance of more action.

Perfect location

My husband loved staying at the Wilde. We were here for a week as part of a multi-destination European trip. The location was perfect for us - in the Grass Market area with castle view. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and spacious for our needs. We will definitely return to the Wilde hotel on our next trip to Edinburgh!

had a wonderful 3 night stay, the location was fantastic for Grassmarket area with all it's bars and restaurants, but was not too noisy at night. rooms are well equiped, although I did note there should be instructions for the coffee maker .... not everyone has one of these at home !

We were assigned a studio with a king bed on the ground floor. The room had poor natural light, and little privacy, as it faced the public walkway. The king bed could only be accessed from one side. After the first night, we changed to a room with twin beds on the first floor, which had good natural light and was a better arrangement to access the beds. Both of the rooms were small. Seemed pricey.

The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The common grounds are quite nice and so is the gym and laundry area. The room is a bit small, cleaning fees are a bit of a rip off. Breakfast subpar with little egg options.
