Noisy and somewhat tired

Had a dreadful stay at this hotel. We were downstairs next to the fire door. It had a note on it to tell the residents to be quiet but squeaked and creaked every time it was opened and then banged shut. This went on until the early hours of the morning and then started again for breakfast. The cleaners cupboard was next to this and after a restless night, we were woken at 7am with the cleaners moving all the vacuum cleaners out of the cupboard. Other than that, the hotel can best be described as we were in the morning, "very tired"

Salisbury Hotel

A lovely " boutique hotel " in a quiet setting in Edinburgh not far from the University and Arthurs seat. A lovely garden area and excellent setting for a lovely breakfast. Hotel staff were very accommodating.

The staff was excellent, the area was quiet and off the beaten path. We only wish the room could’ve been a little larger and we would’ve been able to have a bathtub. Otherwise, I would highly recommend it.

The hotel is in a good location in south Edinburgh, with car parking and frequent buses into the centre. The rooms are fine - as expected at this price. The staff are polite and helpful.

Spacious, Gorgeous Room

We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to the Salisbury Suite. The room was enormous and we had a four poster bed which was very comfortable. Everything about this overnight stay was perfect.

Lovely and comfortable

We stayed one night here and loved the experience. The hotel is located on a quiet side street, so there was no bothersome traffic noise—plus it’s located near a bus stop, which made it simple to get to. The building exterior is lovely and the interior inviting. The staff were very friendly and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The deep soaking tub was amazing after a long day. The breakfast in the morning was a delightful surprise. They provided everything you could possibly want. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

Location pretty good (25 min walk to old town), staff attentive and helpful. but... at least our room - not up to a hotel standard. "boutique" surely creates some expectation (that are not met). It is noted that no elevator in the property, should be taken into consideration - a real obstical with luggage. 10:30 checkout - also stated all over but odd way of upsale...

Very welcoming and conveniently located. Bit of a glitch on day two of my stay however they were very apologetic and resolved the problem immediately. My advice is reconfirm your check out day on check in. Also be aware after 8 pm the building is locked and you enter through keyless entry.

Lovely little hotel

Lovely little hotel. Welcoming staff. Comfortable night's sleep and all you need is provided (good shower, TV, fridge, coffee machine, etc) Clean, and furniture/ facilities all Excellent condition. Good base for exploring Edinburgh. Bonus having own carpark given on-street parking is restricted to 3-4 hours. Lebanese estaurant next door is super.
