There are two IHG hotels in Edinburgh—don’t mistake the two. This one: Pro: good link to airport tram, convenient for local restaurants and shopping facilities Con: somewhat on quirky side (lift known as stage door—why???), rooms on small side size wise Perfectly reasonable place to stay

The location was great, the staff were amazing and helpful. However the hotel is located in an awkward street where taxis or cars wasn’t able to park at the door, but I got help from the staff when I checked out which was nice of them. The bedroom was spacious but a bit outdated, the pillows were awful to be fair but I didn’t ask them to change it so maybe they can do that. Overall I think it’s a budget friendly hotel with a central location

One of 2 Hotel Indigos in Edinburgh. Room is set up differently than the conventional way and this works. Bar and breakfast available on first floor. Neighbor has many conveniences including a food hall in St James Place. Tram and buses out front. Walkable to new and old town location. Staff lovely. I would return.

This will always be my "go to" place in Edinburgh. The location was excellent with the airport tram stopping just down the block.. We didn't need a car! The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and cleaned daily. I enjoyed the free snacks and drinks that were replenished daily as well. The breakfast that was included was exceptional as we were able to order from the menu as well as eat items on the buffet. The price to stay was truly worth every pence. The location was perfect for walking to just about everywhere we wanted to go and we used the tram as well as the "hop on, hop off" bus that also stopped just past the front door of the hotel.

As a frequent guest of IHG hotels, I was disappointed with my stay at Hotel Indigo Edinburgh. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the quality I’ve come to expect from the IHG brand. The facilities appear quite outdated. The furniture, decor, and certain amenities seem to be in need of renovation. The overall atmosphere lacked the modern comforts and attention to detail that usually define IHG properties. I believe that with some updates and improvements, the hotel could better align with the standards of the IHG brand. I hope my feedback is helpful, and I look forward to seeing enhancements in the future.

A city hotel so no parking, but discounted rate at a nearby public car park, just a pain with lots of luggage. Air conditioning not working effectively (and it was stifling hot), they supplied a fan but did not really address the problem. Staff pleasant and helpful, hotel clean and convenient.

Reception, bar and dining-room were modern and well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. However, standard of the rooms needs improvement. Flaked paint, sellotape used to fix ripped wallpaper, cracked sink, loose toilet seat. Would expect higher standards for the price.
