Nice hotel but not 5 stars: Shower head is missing, room service only starts at 7 am, reception area is very laid back. However, very nice location of the property and comfortable room.

Everyone was very helpful and we enjoyed the pool, bar and restaurant more than once! Such a great trip! My only complaint was they did not have any outlet adapters available for us to use and we were in a bind.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed at on our many travels. The water pressure was amazing in the shower we had big huge comfy robes to wear. They even surprise me with a birthday welcome with chocolates and balloons. The location is fantastic and they even have direct access or I should say very close access to the train station which is phenomenal for travelling throughout Scotland. We’re definitely going back to Scotland and I would highly recommend anyone going to Edinburgh to stay here

All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. I had, had a pretty rubbish start to the day and they really turned it around for me. The hotel is currently under going some refurb work and I will certainly like to come back once that’s all done to see it in its normal glory. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for me also.

Beautiful property. Didn’t give 5 stars in property conditions because it’s currently undergoing renovations, so it was a difficult to move around in some parts. Nevertheless, staff was always friendly and attentive. The room was excellent and the location was great too. Definitely recommend!

The location of Apex Waterloo is very good. We were right across from the hop on hop off bus and were able to walk to pubs, restaurants and Calton Hill. Our bathroom floor tiles had cracks in them but the bathtub was large and lovely. I think overall our room lacked character. The hotel was undergoing a renovation which I am sure will be nice when finished. We had breakfast there which was very good and we also enjoyed a delicious dinner. Service was good.
