Functional and basic

Adventura is an ok rental. I have rented for years thru VBRO and this is the first disappointing stay. The house is functional. The beds are miserable. Towels are thin and rough. The pool needs to be cleaned more regularly. A serious ant problem. It is a 4 bedroom 3 indoor bath and one outdoor bath house. Pleasant yet minimally decorated. If the house could sleep 8 one should be able to seat 8 indoors for a meal. No so. Additional cleaning products would go a long way in keeping the home clean. While I did bring my usual 'rental kit' which includes dish soap, laundry soap, disinfecting counter spray and hand soap for the baths etc. I usually do not use them as most rentals provide them. My biggest issue is the potential upcharge for electricity, which was not disclosed in the original contract but submitted to us about 2 weeks before we were due to arrive. I would have cancelled but couldn't find another rental to accommodate our needs at such a late date. I will be taking this up with VBRO shortly. If you are looking for the bare basics this house is for you.
