Staying in Clearwater Beach
I truly thought that this hotel was on the beach side, not on the bay side. The 1st picture from hotel.com is of the beach with the blue canopies and lounge chairs. Nonetheless, thats on me for not reading and checking better. The room was spacious, we had a partial view of the beach side and the bathroom was nice as well. The front desk staff were very courteous and friendly, letting us check in warly and getting more pillows to our room. There were a lot of perks too, like a 20% discount card for the bar/restaurant on the 10th floor. Admission for 2 to an inflatable attraction on Pier 60, and towels available if we wanted to go to the beach. You could walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Plus, we took the trolley and saw Clearwater Beach that way ($2.25/person or use the app).

Stay at Pier 60!
Hotel is beautiful, clean and stylish. Parking was easy and included with stay. The rooftop bar was nice but we had to wait a really long time for a drink. If I hadn’t asked for service, I don’t think the bartender would have waited on us at all. She was busy chatting with a bunch of girls that appeared to be friends. We left and spent our money elsewhere. The rest of our stay was fantastic. Beautiful view from our balcony.

The hotel is okay. The breakfast is okay; sausage and egg, breads, deserts, no vegetables, hot and cold cereal options, oranges and apples, OJ, coffee, tea; lacks variety and healthy options from day to day, which is not ideal for a long stay, but could work for a couple of days; 7am-10am. Pool wasn't heated for most of our trip which sucked for us, otherwise very enjoyable when no construction. Current construction at the adjacent marina, mostly not noticable inside, but can get very loud at times outside. Parking is under the building; fee included in the hotel fee. Staff are generally helpful. Rooms are clean and have basic supplies, microwave, small fridge (not very loud), smart TV; would benefit from more clothes storage; outdated style, but everything is in general good condition. Hop skip and a jump from the Clearwater Beach, entertainment, restaurants...

The room was of ample size, however, the staff struggled with the access keys. We had to request new keys several times and then ultimately was moved to a new room. This hotel is very dated and the staff were somewhat helpful.
