You get what you pay for!
The Longhorn Hotel and Casino is a very affordable option for a stay in Las Vegas, but it does come with some drawbacks. The price point is definitely a plus, making it budget-friendly compared to many other hotels in the area. However, the moment you walk in, you’ll notice a strong smell of cigarettes in the lobby and hallways, which can be off-putting if you’re sensitive to odors. The rooms were adequate but not particularly memorable. The beds were quite small—twin-sized—which might not be ideal for taller or larger guests. One highlight was the convenience of having a restaurant right inside the casino. It’s nice not to have to go far for a meal, especially after a long day. Overall, if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to crash and don’t mind the smoke smell or smaller beds, the Longhorn could work. Just don’t expect luxury or a smoke-free environment.

We couldn’t have our pet stay with us. When we got to the front desk we were told that the hotel had issues with their water main to the pet friendly rooms. We had to drop our pet off with a friend which caused us to have to drive and take over an hour longer rather than being able to go straight to our room. By the time we finally got to bed it was nearly midnight. The noise from the road kept us up, it was like we could hear everything happening outside. I would have picked another hotel if we had known this wasn’t pet friendly as advertised. Also we were told it would be $56 up front and $12 at the hotel, someone seems to have missed a zero because it ended up being $120! We’re never staying here again!

Good hotel that accommodates pets. Some items in hotel room rundown. 120 outlets worn out and not working. Torn window and shower curtains. Toilet that needed maintenance attention while we were there and they are very low to the ground. Not a positive accommodation for elderly guests. Staff is very attentive and courteous. What makes the whole experience worth returning is the restaurant. Good food with a varied menu at a reasonable cost with an outstanding staff.

This is an older, tired casino property. It worked OK for us since we just needed a place to sleep before a morning flight out of LAS, but was nothing special.

Check in was easy. We had issues with key cards that were not working properly at our room and the side entrance/exit to pet area. Despite the hotel providing poop bags at the side entrance and pet area, I think I was the only person picking up after my pet. I was constantly picking up extra and did not notice any other bags than my own (diff color). Guests also used the area to put out their cigarettes. While walking my pet around (when I could not access through side) I noticed the same trash in diff areas for days. I notices maintenance on Friday picking up the trash. We checked in on Monday prior. We like to stay here as they are pet friendly.

Hidden gem away from the Strip
I entered with minimal expectations since this was an older property and I was just staying a night & wanted to check Longhorn out. Check-in was great, the hallways were clean, and the room was a nice surprise. The room was clean, sheets and towels were white, and everything was in good condition. The TV was a little smaller than those in other hotels I stayed at in Vegas this trip, but there were literally double the available channels to watch. The biggest known secret in the Longhorn is the Chuck Wagon Restaurant - Great food at a reasonable price. All in all, I was pleased with my stay.
