The Heron house was a great place to stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, pool was wonderful, and it is in the perfect location. Close enough to walk into town, but still far enough away that it was quiet and enjoyable. Would definitely come back again to stay.

The noise from people in the pool after midnight and again at 6am in the morning was literally echoing in your room. The AC did not blow cold air and goes on and off every 2 mins.

Awesome affordable room
The photo says it all. Open your door to a beautiful courtyard with a good size pool.Plenty of sun and 5 minute walk to Duval, 20 minutes to the Bouy or to Mallory Square. Downside: The blinds on the all glass door don't cover and can be sen through. Nearby airport sends jets right over the roof all day.

Excellent location, 1 street over from Duval. If you are looking for old Key West charm, this is a great place. The continental breakfast was nice, the staff very friendly, the grounds like a tropical garden. If you are looking for fluffy towels, and a modern new building, look elsewhere.
