A hidden oasis in the Main Street of key west
My family loved coming back to hang out at the duval house during our stay. Its location is very walking friendly and outside oasis is great to relax and hang out before going back to the duval street activities. Everything happens at your doorstep but it was bot noisy.

We liked the convenience of being on Duvall street walkable to everything. And the property has an old world charm and very well kept up. The room was a bit dated in a really old building but was fine for the price, there are lots of different room options so yours may vary from ours. The AC was fairly loud. The food was tops for this level of property. The staff was fantastic.

This was our first time staying here and loved the convenient location to everything! Nice breakfast to get your morning started. We like the bike rentals that were on property. You can park you car and leave it. Everything is walkable from here.

What an absolute find in the heart of Key West! If you want a central location, close to the vibrant night life yet far enough away to get a decent nights sleep then this is the place for you. We arrived for an overnight stay and were greeted by welcoming hosts, who offered us a free drink, and check in was smooth. We were shown to our room which was beautifully presented and the air conditioning had been turned on so it was lovely and cool. It’s good to know they close the gates to the property at 8pm but that won’t stop you going out and having fun as there is a key code to get back in after hours. Breakfast was amazing, yoghurt and granola, pastries, fruit, eggs and if you don’t try the waffles you’re crazy! Long and short of it….we would highly recommend staying here and the bonus? It was a great price! Thank you Duval House.

Visited to celebrate my birthday. First time in Key West. "Bucket list". What I loved about this property was the garden areas and heated swimming pool and the fact that it's "adults only". What I didn't like was the parking difficulty and $30 a night charge to park on their property. That should be included in the price of the stay since it's The Duval House property. Seems a little greedy. I also didn't care for the "guest service charge" in addition to price per night amount. Total per night ended up being $300. Additionally, while it is an older property with lots of charm, the updates appear to be DIY and poor quality materials (for example, the bathroom vanity and sink falling apart, bathroom door not closing properly, etc). The air conditioning was old and noisy and blasted hot air on us each time we passed our neighbor's room. We stayed in room 12, which had its own private patio facing the back parking lot and church. There is no microwave in the room and not much space for luggage. Upon entering the room the mini fridge was not on and by morning drinks I'd placed in it were frozen. There are different rooms to choose from, so I'd choose wisely. If you're a picky person, this might not be the right spot for you. However, if you'd like to experience something different with a cool history, beautiful outdoor setting, kid-free and awesome staff... you'll enjoy it. We appreciated the complimentary adult beverages upon checkin! Neat place, have fun!

Wasn’t sure what to expect with Duval house. However we were pleasantly surprised. Large beautiful courtyard in back. Loved the onsite parking, and the complimentary drink at check in. Love the topless pool area! Finally a place staying true to its liberal Key West roots. Will definitely return. Oh and the best waffles ever!
