Our Stay at the property was great. It’s a brand new facility so it is really nice and the staff was very accommodating. I did have a problem with the payment though. I had booked this room through Expedia and was offered a very good price. That is the reason that I chose this hotel. When I showed up at the hotel, I just paid the bill and didn’t look at it. After looking at it, I realize I paid a couple hundred dollars more than the agreed-upon price. it took me a few days to realize it and I brought it up. An email to the GM. My concern was not addressed. Other than that, everything was good. I do think it’s really ridiculous though that the pool closes at 8 o’clock. Margaritaville resort you’d be able to hang out late on the weekends. That was not the case.

We had a great stay. One thing the property could do to elevate the experience is to put some greenery or some type of privacy around the pool area that you see from valet. Also, available towels at the pool instead of having to go up to front desk to get them.

Staff was wonderful. Kodos to Kiki at the reception desk. Very positive person that helped with check in and check out . Rooms are nice, the open glass shower configuration in the our room is a poor design. This 4 year old hotel is already showing signs of water damage around the shower drywall/trim area. All and all , its a good place to stay; the biggest hicup I had about the place was the lack of clean pool tiles. BLACK mold on the underside of the pool tile at the water line is UNEXCEPTABLE. Pretty gross. Once we saw it, we need not swim in the pool again. I would only stay here again, if and only if that issue is adressed.

I liked that the staff was friendly. I dont like that upon arrival from a 10 hour drive we where told our room was on the 8th floor room 835 when we arrived at said room we could not enter and a woman opened the door and told us it was her room so she called front desk for us and we where told to go to room 535, when we opened the room it was 94 degrees in there. Maintenance came quick but it took about 35 minutes to get it fixed. We wanted to just relax after our dive but had to leave the room for about a hour because it was so hot in there. The Maintenance was very professional even though we where a little aggervated but overall i probably would choose a different hotel for our next trip.

Other hotels in the area that are better

We arrived normal time. Valet folks were so nice and helpful so that was a plus and the only reason I didn’t give 1 star. While checking in, I was lied to about having my valet parking cost come out of the $150 hold. I ended up being charged for two separate valet tickets (two cars) with no warning on top of that as separate charges. Then, if you are a hotel on a beach where turtle nesting happens, why do you not have red or orange lights by the pool?!? Do you know how many hotels I stay at down in South Florida and they have different lightening so their guests can use the facilities outside after dusk? I have never been more appalled about that in my life. The front desk hosts told us we could go swim at the beach! They then proceeded to tell us renting of chairs was not included with our stay so we could have to pay for that if we wanted and then redacted that statement saying it was after hours and they wouldn't be able to rent chairs either. We could just swim in the ocean. Here are some towels. Did we forget that sharks come closer to shore during dusk until dawn?? The restaurant was supposed to be open until 11pm and was closed by 9pm on a Saturday. The room stated it had a pullout couch but only had a chair. Realistically that didn’t matter but it’s the principal of the fact especially with the amount paid and all the fees tacked on at the end of the stay. I won’t be staying here or recommending this hotel again.
