The location of the property was great. We had a ground floor room which had both perks and drawbacks. While our room had a river view, there were no sheer curtains that we could draw in order to have some privacy, meaning anyone walking on the sidewalk right outside our window could look right into our room. It would have been nice to have some natural light.
Our King room was spacious enough for a one night stay but probably not ideal for more than that. There was no refrigerator or ice machine that we could tell, which would have been nice. Speaking of the King bed, it was in fact just 2 twin beds pushed together with a thin pad on top. We could feel the bed seams while sleeping and it was very uncomfortable.
The rooms were clean and modestly decorated, and the bathroom was spacious and had a large mirror and was brightly lit, but almost had a sterile feel; very white and bright like a hospital…. Kind of eery feeling.
We were most disappointed with the restaurant on premises, the Waterfront.
We were so looking forward to having dinner here for our anniversary but wasn’t aware that the night we made reservations (it was a Sunday) that the restaurant did not serve its normal menu and only did roasts. We were forced to partake in the 2 or 3 course prix-fixe menu and the options were not to our liking at all. The starters were bland and we don’t really eat meet. Sad to see a highland restaurant follow such an English meal option.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was in a good location but there were a lot of stairs to my room. No soundproofing, could hear other people's tvs clearly and then the last night there was a very loud disco for a wedding party. Just need to consider better soundproofing. Didnt get housekeeping each day and this wasnt made clear. Felt like an inconvenience when I had to go and request tbags and milk.

Room was very small. There was no elevator on the property and it was quite a walk to get to the room from reception.
Lovely hotel, and the dinner was best dinner we had on our trip, it was fresh and delicious. The only criticism we have is that we asked for twin beds and we had a double (me and my son)
Hotel is spread over numerous properties on one street; we were furthest from the restaurant which was not ideal. Reception and waiting staff were friendly but the restaurant manager came across as ignoring my wife and speaking only to me. Overall, good location for town but would not be our choice if we returned to Inverness
This is a fantastic hotel, which I use for business trips
Unfortunately the room I was allocated this trip was directly above an event room which had a fiddle and accordion recital which went on until 2230hrs.
On site distillery & tap room was lovely, restaurant had great service & food. Everything was overlooking the river Ness and just beautiful. But! The Beds and pillows were just awful. So rock hard it was difficult to sleep. For such a nice place, really need to know the value of even a hallway decent mattress.
Excellent location, minutes walk into town and beautiful views offer the River Ness. Room was big, clean and a comfy bed. We upgraded to a river view room and were on the first floor so lovely views with a sitting area. Coffee machine with selection of pods and tea in the room with shortbread sometimes provided ( 2 out of 3 days) Hand wash and shower wash provided, bring your own shampoo. Maybe bring your own hairdryer also as the one there is very tiny. Could also do with a light at the dressing table to put on makeup etc. It was a wee dark corner and if you have just used the shower, the mirror in the bathroom is all steamed up and doesn’t clear quickly even with extractor on. Staff very friendly and happy to fill up your own water bottles from the bar. Loved having the craft brewery and distillery on site, made our stay a bit quirky. Had breakfast each morning. Hot meal selection very good choice and quality ingredients used. I’m vegetarian and liked the choice available of fresh natural yoghurt, some cut fruit and seeds and brown or white toast. Also provided are some cold meat, 1 cheese, and 2 types of pastries and porridge. Fruit juices and water. Had dinner one night and again good quality food and good service. The charge for parking took us by surprise. Website not updated on that yet. £12 per day to pay for the parking at the back. Even though there was construction work taking place in the car park with diggers etc parked up we always managed to find a space.
