The staff was AMAZING. All of them!! Attentive, kind, playful, helpful. Always a smile.
The room as OK. The sheets were rough & scratchy. The A/C never cooled the room. The European style of a half glassed-in shower baffles me. Completely soaked bathroom with every shower. A sink faucet that barely hangs over the sink. Just annoying details.
The pool looked nice (only my husband used it) but this property has far too many little, little kids for us. That's our bad as we should have chosen an adults only property. The beach is very far to get to, down either a ton of stairs or several elevator floors. That just didn't work for us. Wonderful bar over the beach.
There is no perceived nor communicated excitement about activities. The main bar has something different every night but we only found out half way through our stay from bar staff. No signs. No announcements. There is a theater with shows that we found out about on our last night. No heads up at all. There were super fun activities at the pool but if you weren't there at the right time, you would have no idea.
At check-in, we were assigned a concierge. She was lovely, but didn't go over any activities.
By far, the biggest disappointment was the food. EVERYTHING was over cooked yet cold. I had to have food reheated because it was only room temp. Even from different stations. Baked goods were flat & tasteless. No attention to detail. A lot of food doesn't mean to good food. A new chef is called 4. Steakhouse was great!
