Lovely hotel shame about location & building work

The FC JVC hotel is great and staff are brilliant but the JVC area is a 24/7 dusty building site and is a 50 minute drive from the beaches. You expect building work in Dubai but herethe cranes swing over the pool area. Traffic and noise levels are a problem. When JVC is built, and the roads and metro extended, this hotel will be wonderful.

Food service staff was great. Food surprisingly well. Breakfast buffet had same stuff daily though and no variety. Got old quick. Had to call down, sometimes multiple times a day to have room cleaned. Really hadn’t seen such a lazy housekeeping staff.

Fairly new and clean property with friendly staff and great breakfast buffet. Limited dinner options around the area and not very walkable but easy to get around by cab or uber. Also lots of construction in surrounding area. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

We liked the Burj khalifa view from our window, we liked breakfast buffet options. Room was comfortable. Didn’t like the old and smoke smell in the hallways, maybe they should consider removing carpets. And didn’t like that someone was always coming in the room without us knowing that they gonna come.

Excellent hotel 10/10 for what you need. Only thing thats lacking is a decent gym, as its very small and minimal equipment…however theres a great gym 5 mins away called Prime Fitness if you want to train properly

The check-in was an issue with staff not experience enough to know when to class a ‘no-show’ My wife reached the hotel earlier than us - but there was no way of reaching the hotel to update them (tried Expedia messages, emails and WhatsApp off of their website) no response at all - which made check-in a long 1hour process. There was also a damp smell on the sheets and the room - but it was clean The hotel was busy - too busy with small space to accommodate large number of customers Staff looked stressed out with serving guests Breakfast overspill to the restaurant but menu was much smaller Overall ok - but wouldn’t stay again
