Had an amazing stay at JA Ocean View, All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my sons birthday during our stay and they upgraded our room and left him a nice cake on his birthday. I loved the location along the main walk on JBR, food outlets and the beach at your doorstep.

Lovely hotel and staff. Really clean. Enjoyed our stay. Frequently used the lovely pool, which was busy at times but never felt overcrowded, always enough loungers. Staff very attentive. Busy area around the hotel, lots of places yo eat and shop within walking distance. Very close to beach, where we could see the sunset in the evening. Only thing would say & this is nothing against the hotel, was getting to and from the hotel at certain times of the day by taxi often took quite a bit of time due to traffic in the area.

Walking distance to the beach but the beach it is very crowded especially evening time. Otherwise it is very good area , walkable plenty of restaurants and shops.

Awful experience. I visit and holiday in Dubai 3 times a year with my family, my two young daughters. The hotel staff were rude they refused to provide hot milk for my 1 year old baby. The condition of this hotel is very poor, infested with cockroaches. The furniture smells, the bathroom was leaking. The staff here were really rude, i arrived with my family at 9am and they made us wait till 3pm as our room wasn’t ready apparently. Traveling with young kids and they failed to look after us. The location is the only positive about this place, definitely not 5 star, 3 star maybe. I will not stay here again. The hotel need to employ better staff. Refusing milk for a baby is disgusting.

Not five stars and noisy at night
Not a five star hotel by anyones standards!! Four stars at best. Breakfast was great with a good choice. The ground floor cafe was also good and we eat dinner in there three nights out of seven. Free valet parking is a big plus especially considering the location. Rooms facing the beach are noisy all night until the earlier hours with sports cars revving their engines and bleeping of car horns. The hotel in general is showing its age with worn capets and chips on furniture and walls. We had a problem with clothes stored in the wardrobes feeling damp, not sure if this was due to the AC or the humidity in Dubai. The beds are very hard and they use some odd material for the bedding and curtains, almost like polyester material. The Italian restaurant on the first floor have a very limits menu and do not serve any chicken items. Great location but better insulation would have made the holiday a lot more enjoyable, probably would not stay in this hotel again as there are lots in the area to choose from.

Our stay at JA Ocean View hotel was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great and huge variety. Rooms cleaned every day, fresh towels, bed linen and fresh water daily. Tea and coffee facilities and hairdryer in room. Balcony has great view of beach with easy access which the hotel hands out complimentary beach towels and parasol. The restaurants and sports bar in the hotel are worth a visit, pizza is excellent. Great location, bars, restaurants and shops on doorstep and metro round corner which I highly recommend using. My only negatives about the hotel is the bathroom, it is in need of an update. Holes in bath tiles with raw plugs showing and silicone used in bath to cover up chips in enamel. The balcony window wasn’t very soundproof as we could hear car horns all throughout the night and traffic was busy into early hours. I had to wear war plugs. The hotel itself was quiet though. The safe in our room wasn’t the best. We had to keep pressing buttons for the display screen to appear. We were worried we couldn’t open it at times. Not sure if it was faulty. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
