My husband and I went for our honeymoon and had a blast. We loved the resort and did not want to leave. The property was clean and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Only 2 minor complaints: swim out pool needed to be cleaned/skimmed more often & the staff knocked on our room door too much.

This property is beautiful. From the spacious room, service , food options pools and the beach area are amazing. Staff are very attentive and helpful. The only minus is the timeshare meeting. I would suggest if you attend please make sure you understand and read the contract if you’re willing to proceed. Overall is a wonderful stay and we will be back.

Very nice property and the beach was excellent. All the staff were as great! Wish they had more of a night life and a bar opened at night with snacks. Overall a great place and again staff is great.

Superior to every other resort we have visited in the Riviera Maya. From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The Preferred experience was definitely worth the extra $ because of better check-in, bar drinks and food choices. Although the property is large it seemed very intimate. Bring bug spray for mosquitoes at night. Smoking areas are available but limited. We'll be back for sure!

This place was perfect! The hotel itself is another wonderful Secrets: clean and luxurious with a 5 star level of services and pampering. The heart of the hotel is definitely dedicated and beyond friendly staff who do their absolute best to make you feel at home. They go above and beyond to provide a fun, accommodating, special experience. They all introduce themselves and eagerly want to assist you with anything and everything they can. There are certain members that need a shout out because they made my husband and I feel so spoiled the whole week we were there: Max, Gina, Carla, Carlos and Abraham were a few from the activities team, bartenders: Ivan and Moses from the swimup bar, Miguel and Samuel from poolside assistance and concierges Regina and José! These were just a few that specifically made our trip amazing. The food here is delicious, we had our favorite restaurants like the French and Asian places. My advice for those coming here from Maroma: they are like siblings, NOT twins. They have differences and Akumal is bigger with better snorkeling right next to the beach!

Secrets property was extremely clean, and constantly maintained by the staff. Everyone was professional, courteous and welcoming. We had a birthday group of 18 people, everyone had a wonderful time. Looking forward to returning! My only recommendation is additional directional signs, and numbers at the top of each building.

Most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Most of the food was really good. The staff was so attentive and wanting to make sure all if your needs and wants were taken care of. My biggest two complaints are the daily pool parties that last for hours with a DJ. The bass carries into the rooms and there’s no escaping it. So if you want to take a nap, don’t count on it. There’s a quiet pool, but that pool still feels the thumping when the DJ is playing. My second complaint is that if you try to relax on the beach, you are constantly being approached by people trying to sell hats, blankets, turtle tours, etc. I understand they are just trying to make a living, but it definitely affects the feel of relaxation.

Excellent Experience

My spouse and I were celebrating our anniversary and this resort made sure we were always taken care of. From the moment we stepped into secrets we were taken care of. All the staff seemed extremely trained and professional! The entertainers Max, Carlos, Jorge and Abhrahm were my favorite. They made sure my stay was eventful. The night shows were amazing as well. Only thing about the trip is the limit of access to affordable transportation into the city or airport. The food could be better as well. Only favorite part of food was the Coco Cafe happy to see it was 24hrs! The spa is a must as well! pretty pricy but worth it! Amazing experience over-all!
