Not the same standard

Stayed before and loved it but unlucky with weather so potential flooding closed car park which made it a nightmare to park and cost £60 for 2 nights. Room cold and heating system didn’t work effectively. Quilt cover torn which isn’t a good standard. A bit disappointing.

Parking scam

On arriving at the hotel by car we were asked to download an app to pay for parking(£1). Nationwide blocked my card when i tried to do so. We payed the £15for 24hr parking directly to the hotel. Unblocked my card to check my account and the company linked to the parking app took an unauthorised payment of£59.99. A scam, verified by my bank, somewhere in cyprus. Ive since informed the hotel but have heard nothing back.

We had a great weekend trip to York. The staff were very friendly and everything was very well presented. My partner loved the heated floor in the bathroom.

Great stay in York

Great location, everything you need is in the walking distance, very comfortable room and beds. Quiet - this was very important to us!

Would stay here again. Easy check in/out, liked that you don't have to check out till 11am. Only 10 mins walk into center. Liked you could get complimentary croissants hot drinks for breakfast. Room was very clean and had everything we needed, it was really cold when we got in the room though as the heating was switched off and it was 1 degrees outside! Unfortunately as we were on the 2nd floor we had people above us and you could hear them moving about very loudly as it's hard floors. Very handy having a car park at the hotel just a shame you have to pay extra for it and can't pre-book it as we had no idea if we'd get a space but fortunately there was some left but it was mid-week I don't know if it would be different at busier times.

Just outside of York city centre but walkable. Parking charges £15 a day but free parking available nearby streets in the evening. Free crosount and drinks at the reception are great. TV set wasn't working
