Nice but room too hot.

Hotel is great. Unfortunately for whatever reason the room was unbelievably hot. Averaging 26 degrees, even with the heating turned off and also the window being open. The air conditioning option was not available either because it's winter. This really means sleeping was difficult.

We stayed in October 24. The hotel was great in many ways but unfortunately they were having work done on their roof. The noise in our room was unbearable as we were on the fourth floor. There was banging, drilling, sawing & I could even hear them brushing up! They offered to move our room but to be honest we could also hear noise from this work down in the bar. I would recommend the hotel in every other way - just check the work is finished before booking.

Cool & trendy hotel

We had a really nice stay here in this hotel the location is brilliant. The breakfast isn't great but due to location we had breakfast one morning and then ate out the other mornings as there are so many options nearby.

My birthday weekend.

This is the 2nd visit to the Moxy. Love the hotel, breakfast was scrumptious. The only niggles I had was1. No iron . 2 No mattress protector 3. Not enough milk to have a decent cup of coffee and sweetener was not replaced after being used from the day before. Loved the hotel and the staff are lovely, always polite and helpful. Ideal location and just loved the chilled vibe we both got from there. Will visit again and stay in this hotel. Just try and amend what we listed.

Close to everything, we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do and even from the train station(however we got a taxi back as it was raining) bed was comfortable and our room was a nice size. Weekends are pretty busy in the lobby lots of fun to be had, the music is loud, but they do turn it down after 8pm which was nice as we were right above the lobby. Overall we had a nice time and would stay again.

The staff was very welcoming when we arrived. Nice clean rooms and very quiet. Liked the black out curtains. Close to the major attractions in York. Would stay again.
