Staff was amazing and property very clean and food was great. Unlike many all inclusives you could eat at all the restaurants without having reservations which was such a great feature of this property. Pool games were so fun.

I have had the opportunity to experience 5 different hotels in the Riu Palace chain, and I can say that the facilities are very beautiful, clean, luxurious, and well-groomed. The staff is very enthusiastic, friendly, and professional, which is probably the highlight of the whole experience.

This is my 3rd time and always enjoy it, need more seafood (ceviches, optipus, aguachiles) for snack near to pool and beach for afternoon.

My partner and I had an amazing time at this hotel overall and truly enjoyed the facilities. A few days prior to our stay, I called to request a king-size bed, and the representative assured me it would be noted on my file. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no record of this request. We arrived around 11:00am, and Roman at the front desk informed us that our room would not be ready until 3:00pm. This was understandable, so we explored the hotel in the meantime. Around 2:00pm, I checked back with Fernanda, who kindly let me know it would be about another 30 minutes. However, when I returned later, I felt that Roman was dismissive and avoided eye contact, which left me feeling ignored after waiting patiently. Thankfully, Daniel stepped in to assist, contacted someone, and I was finally able to check into my room at 3:30pm. While the situation was eventually resolved, I do feel that the customer service during check-in could have been more welcoming and consistent. Aside from this, our overall experience at the hotel was wonderful, and we appreciated the amenities and atmosphere during our stay.

Compared to other Riu Palace this one we will not return. Were at Riu Mexico few years ago and like the staff much better. We were at Riu Las Americas - Cancun last July 2025, foods are better, staff more friendly and go the extra mile same as Riu Peninsula last year You need to "retrain" the staff at front desk especially Lupita. We were loyal customers & are member, everywhere we go we will offer an upgrade to ocean view room. When we requested, she said no more ocean view and later said if we paid $30 more per night. So you do not have any ocean view room available or only when we have to pay? Are you taking us for an idiot? Mostly disappointed after being Riu member and going to Riu EVERYWHERE including Majorca and Canary Islands and this is THE FIRST TIME we were refuse an upgrade room! For food at Steak House they overcooked the meat and the lobster, ask for rare steak came out completely well done and lobster half burned and not fresh same as at the Italian restaurant! The only good restaurant was Crystal, excellent everything. Buffet ok. Compared to other Palace we stayed this one is the worse one from Bahamas, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Aruba, Maldives, Panama, Europe and all locations in Mexico: Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Los Cabos etc... WE WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RIU'S LOCATION.
