Let down by Hotels.com

I did not get to stay at the hotel I was told I did not have reservation for me even tho I paid in full for 3 nightsand had a confirmation I contacted Hotels.com and was issued a refund which was sent back to my card so for my weekend I got to experience what being homeless was like

My first time in Miami & loved how well they took care of me and offered numerous recommendations to help me get the best experience. I felt like they were truly watching out for me, loved that! Will be back!!!

WE LIKE THE SANCTUARY, A FEW MISSTEPS HERE AND THE

MY HUSBAND & I LIKE THIS HOTEL, LITTLE KITCHEN/LIVING AREA, RESORT FEE IS REASONABLE FOR WHAT IT COVERS, BREAKFAST IS PLEASANT NOT GOURMET BUT GOOD. THE HOTEL USED TO SHARE POOL WITH BENTLEY AND THE GALE. NOW IT IS JUST THE GALES WHICH IS VERY NICE. NO KEURIG CUPS FOR KEURIG COFFEE MAKER SO WE BOUGHT OUR OWN. THE HOTEL IS A KEEPER.

Sanctuary Hotel. A bit disappointing...

Was a bit disappointed in the bathrooms that were in need of renovation. The staff was friendly. The valet parking was quite expensive (no free parking available).

Good location, deceiving photos.

Great location close to the beach, main shopping areas, tour companies & public transport. Breakfast included- great- but very simple: cereal, toast, pastries & fruit. No eggs or meats and its first come first serve. They don't seem to restock. However, breakfast is breakfast! We were still happy to have it. The beach area was fantastic, Take note that umbrellas are $19 USD in addition to the resort fee. The room was clean but looked about 10 years older than the pictures online. Many things needed replacing inside our room visually, but for the most part it was functional and comfortable. Be aware that the pool and gym in the images aren't on site, but are only a 1 minute walk to the neighbouring hotel which sanctuary guests are welcome to use included with hotel fees.

Good location for what is worth

We had an early morning flight, and they wasn't able to give us a room till 2hours later. It is very humid inside of the room, but that's most places in Miami for you. We were told we can use beach chairs with another hotel , which we got rejected. If you are paying $100 for this hotel , not bad, otherwise not worth the buck

It was great.

Great place and I would stay alot more and longer if the parking was cheaper. I know lots of my friends wilk stay here if the rate would be less to offset the high parking cost. Could improve on the standard of the room just a little. Overall it was a good experience. Andrew Eligon CCTMULTISPORT

Bad WIFI and bad breakfast which was charged extra

The staff was nice and helpful but checkin took longer than needed since instructions were written down by hand on the spot. The wifi barely did not work which is a big minus. Even though it said on the booking that breakfast was included we were charged a MANDATORY fee of $15 per night and after we paid they said: and by the way there is no protein in the breakfast. Terrible. The hotel is quite worn down. Staff running around screaming early outside the rooms waking you up with zero consideration. The hotel plays loud music all night.

Good value in a good location

The Sanctuary is a nice little hotel not far from all the action in South Beach. The rooms are very spacious. Ours was self contained with a kitchenette and lounge area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The downsides? The hotel lacks some finishing touches you would see at most four and five star hotels. The pool is also very small and shallow.

Sanctuary or cave?

Rooms have a moldy smell. They are tightly sealed and trap moisture I think. They are comfortable but austere. There also is a privacy issue as the only way to block the glass door is by closing a full blackout curtain depriving you of any daylight. Felt more like a cave than a sanctuary

Convenient location in South Beach

We came for New Year's Eve and the valet across the street was $80 so keep that in mind if you come for a really busy time. I think it's normally $30. But about the hotel, the location was good. It's just a block away from Collins Avenue so there's a lot within walking distance. The room itself was clean and modern. There was a problem with the cable or satellite and the TV picture was really bad, but it was NYE so we didn't really care. But yeah overall I liked it and I would go back again.

overall, decent stay when it came to the room. pretty ridiculous that my only parking option was $70 overnight parking across the street, which wasn't included in the price of the overnight stay. 'complimentary breakfast' included bananas and 3 options of cereal and sub-par service. generally, this place is fine if you're staying here for one night, but anything longer would be disappointing. was expecting better out of this place, especially for New Year's Eve, but it was over-sold.

Great Spot Near the Beach

A wonderfully elegant hotel with a great restaurant located in the front. There was a good amount of space in the entrance of the room, this was great for inviting guests and chatting in the living room area. There was a nice kitchen area that was very spacious. Room service was very attentive to all of my needs.
