Right in the middle of everything! Desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable of area. Valet was fast. Nightlife was just a step out your door. Fun stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Depends what you are looking for. I searched for "Art Deco" area and I ended up in South Beach. It's a lovely hotel if that's the experience you are looking for. But I was with my family and none of us slept due to the noise until 5am. If I was 25 - would have been amazing. Staff was very nice and apologetic, but we should have never booked there in the first place. I'd recommend for a family free weekend if you are looking to be out most of the night.

Room had a foul smell and was not very clean. We requested housekeeping daily, but it seems they only took out the trash and replenish the towels, coffee, bottled water and made the bed. Floor was not vacuumed as I saw the same debris on the floor for the whole duration of out stay. Nothing was wiped downed. The large dresser had all the draws missing. The windows do not open. The only thing this hotel has, its location to the restaurants and the beach. The pool was dirty with debris floating on top of the water.

Day 1 sheets were dirty on the bed and i had to keep asking for housekeeping 2 hours later. Day 2 shower was cloaked and no clean towels were available. Day 3 we had to purchase our own toiletries. The overall experience was terrible, i will never choose that hotel again. Management kept hanging up on expedia to avoid the issues. One was the lowest i could add it should be negative stars!

Beautiful Deco building, one of the stars of Ocean Dr. Experiencing the atmosphere of the ‘70-s is worth a little tear and wear here and there. Beautifully placed across the beach. Great bar inside.

Breakfast is not included, I never saw the pool, you had to walk through several different places to get to the elevator to get to the rooms. When I arrived I had to pay a resort fee but this was no resort maybe a 2 star resort 2.5 because the views were breathtaking. However the room smelt like mildew and was extremely cold. I stayed in the penthouse and while the views were nice I could barely tolerate the smell and temperature. The thermostat did not work. I loved the idea of the outdoor shower and the balcony was fantastic the view was blocked a bit but good nonetheless.

Good location/cool old hotel, staff hit or miss

Great location, cool old hotel and right on the beach. Service was inconsistent/poor, doorman walked me to the room and didn’t offer to help with bags and another front desk guy never called taxi service to the airport. Had to ask another person to handle it (and they did very well).

They did not have any parking for their customers nor did they mention this during booking you had to go a block away to drop your car off then walk back all the way to your hotel with luggage ....room smelled moldy you had to walk down to the bar on the other side to get ice and the ice tray felt dirty had grease all over it.....for 600 dollars for 1 night i would never ever go back to that nightmare of a hotel

Noise levels - Unexpected and Unacceptable

I am conflicted writing this review as the hotel itself has no control on the neighboring outdoor bar/restaurant. The hotel itself is cute, comfortable, convenient and service was good. However, it sits directly next to a bar/restaurant called Oceans Ten - that is open air and played music or had a DJ each night (Friday and Saturday) until 3am. It's so overbearing that you have to raise your voice in the lobby when talking to the staff. Music started each day at 11am and by 8pm had risen to levels that were impossible to deal with. If you are unlucky enough to be on the side of the hotel sitting next to the open air bar - you will have extreme difficulty sleeping on those nights. Even when the staff asked them to lower the volume - they did not comply. Obviously it is Miami and South Beach and it's understandable there will be noise late in the night - but past midnight at the volume levels Oceans TEN has it at and in an area with hotels and residents - is unacceptable It is really a bummer as the hotel and staff have no control in the situation and you can tell they are just as bothered by the noise level. I just feel like anyone reserving deserves to know what they are getting into. We cut our trip short by a night because we could not take another night without sleep.

I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay at this hotel. The room felt damp the entire time, which made me feel uncomfortable and ultimately left me feeling sick. On top of that, our window was right next to a stage for the bar next door, and the loud music played until 2 a.m. every night. The noise made it impossible to sleep, and it completely ruined my stay. I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for a restful, comfortable experience.

When we arrived in the room you could feel the springs in the bed. We asked twice for it to be fixed with a mattress topper or other mattress and they told us it was fixed. When we returned it was not any different and we discovered the mattress was actually on the bed upside down- so you were laying on the bottom springs of the mattress. We had to flip the mattress and in the process we found that the sheets had several stains. There was also no remote for the TV and after another call down to the desk they brought one that still didn’t work. The staff was very unresponsive and overall not impressed with this property and would not return.

We stayed in a Junior Suite. It was more spacious but it was in average condition and looked much nicer in photos. It was away from the main lobby of the hotel. Had to use elevator in the Gelato store on street level to access the room. The air conditioner was leaking but at least it worked and kept the room cool. Staff was ok and always felt abrupt in their actions. Hotel was sold out so they may have been overwhelmed. Location was good. Price per night was a bit high for what you get.
