We booked the venue for our wedding anniversary for the convenient location. Having a 3 year old it is perfect for the Christmas markets and the shops. We requested a quiet room upon checking in i asked the reception to check and she did confirm that it was a quiet room. Entering the room, they had decorated the beds with swan towels, chocolate and balloons. Perfect!
The stay then went downhill from there.
The heating didnt work. Was brought up two oil heaters. They noted that we had a toddler and will send someone to fix the heating and failing that will get us moved to another room the following day if they couldnt.
The noise was ridiculously loud from our room. Im aware that there will be Christmas parties in the hotel but we could have been placed on a higher floor. The parties took place on the 3rd floor and we were on the 5th!! Come on!
2nd night was a repeat of the first! The music was the same! The heating was the same! Other staff that came in to help did not know that the heating was not working and then said it probably wouldnt be fixed and to make do with the heaters.
We were then woken up the morning to someone doing DIY around 8am!! What is that about?? On a sunday morning!! Was going on for approximately an hour before we went for breakfast!
Breakfast was good and you can order directly with some of the staff and the kitchen will prepare omelettes! Good variety!
Zoe in the restaurant was lovely. Looked after us for the 2 mornings! Great staff member!
