Very good staff as they are friendly and helpful. They responded swiftly to my room key not responding and offered directions to local amenities.

Budget hotel Close to Etihad Stadium and tram stop

We stayed in hotel because it was close to Etihad Stadium . My son had tickets for the Man City v Chelsea match for Christmas and we travelled up from devon . If we had realised how basic it is we would not have booked it . I kept bumping head on the bunk over the double bed . There were spots of what looked like congealed blood on the floor in front of window . Because the shower cubicle opened in to bedroom my son had to leave room before I could have shower. The first room we were given smelled very strongly of sewerage but the reception staff very quickly agreed was awful and changed it after they came to see what we meant. We had to make up third bunk bed ourselves as staff apparently refuse to do this. The breakfasts we paid for separately were ok but disappointing not even boiled eggs available so very carb laden . The drinks for sale in coolers in reception were ridiculously expensive. And we wished we had taken travel kettle . We would not book a budget hotel again .

Lived up o the name Ibis “budget” and when anything is on a budget you only hope to get enough to justify what you’re paying and not ask too much. The hotel and its facilities was “just fine” however the staffs were helpful, amazing which provided a much needed home feel.

Cheap and cheerful

Pros: Bed - comfy and clean
Cons: kettle in room.
It's very basic but for the price (£49) - it's fine. Bed was clean and comfy. Room has TV (no kettle but reception has coffee machines etc.) Staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel is situated well for the city.
