A great weekend break

Ideally situated in central Manchester on the edge of Chinatown. Carparking not controlled by the hotel is available very nearby. Plenty of good restaurants close by of various nationalities as well as a lot of pubs and bars. The hotel itself is modern with reasonable sized well equipped rooms. The lobby, bar and restaurant are modern, spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Modern,clean hotel - watch out for your room type!

Overall this is a good value hotel with clean, well equipped spacious rooms in a very central location. I;ve stayed a few times. BUT .. on my last stay I was allocated an accessible room that also had many issues with the bathroom. Watch out when booking not to pick these room - they say this was outlined but you have to look at all the photos to clearly work this out which I feel is a poor deal and not very transparent.

Clayton hotel stay (Perfect)

The room which I had was amazing, great views of the city. Spacious in all areas - the bed was gigantic, the lounge area of the suite was perfect. Overall, look and quality of the room was outstanding I would definitely stay here again being my first stay ever at the Clayton hotel. Would absolute come back to this city centre hotel.

Poor check in.

Hotel was good in central of everything. Checking in was not the best. Came hour early told to leave cases never checked if room was ready. They said we’ve got a big party checking in soon so they must have got more priority than an individual party ! Everyone should be treated equally!! We all pay same going rate for room.

Nice city centre hotel

We were visiting family and arrived at 2.40 pm even though check in was 3pm we thought we may have been able to check in but they said not so we were unable to change and had to leave our case at reception until we got back at 10 pm. We then went straight to bed, we were very surprised there was no bottles of water in the room. Breakfast was ok but very busy had to wait for items to be replaced. But overall nice hotel
