I thought the staff were really helpful, friendly and efficient. The hotel was very beautiful and luxurious. The cleanliness was also excellent. However there was a couple of things that I was disappointed by one was I ordered half a bottle of bollinger champagne to be sent up to my room which was on the menu and the night waiter said it wasn’t on there . Another thing that disappointed me was that I ordered breakfast room service and two items were missing which were croissants and hash browns. They sent them up quickly once I informed them of the missing food, I wanted to eat them at the same time. Overall though I had a fantastic time and was treated like royalty. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Pros: Nothing !
Cons: Everything !
Terrible. The fire alarm went off at 9-30 on Sunday morning. There was a problem with the system but we had an ear splitting morning. Went down to the bar for a drink and were turned away as we were 3 minutes too early. We had booked for Sunday lunch and dressed smart casual. We could not go into the dining room as my husband was not wearing a jacket and tie ! There was no apologies for any of what happened. We had paid £600 for our room which had no coffe making facilities. We will never ever go back

Mums birthday

Pros: Class, quintessentially British, nowhere like it.
Location: Perfect location, nearby to everything
From the moment we checked in we were greeted and treated in such a wonderful way, we were upgraded, complimentary champagne and nibbles and made to feel really special, the afternoon tea was beautiful, so filling, the detail of everything is just perfect, a big thank you to Michael on concierge who knew a friend of mine and did his upmost to get us the best, we a truly grateful to you.

Lives up to expectations

We chose the Ritz as a once in a lifetime experience but it was so good the experience will be repeated. The staff make you feel special.

The Ritz fantastic but...

While signing into the hotel and in front of my wife I was offered an upgrade of the room for more money. I found it embaressing to say no as it was a special treat for her. This should not have happened or it should have been done descretely. Be warned its hard to find a bottle of wine on the wine list for less than £100. Having said this the stay was fantastic and I will go again. RWD
