Not worth the price if you are looking for service

We were disappointed in our stay for the price we paid. Service was not great, we were told the mini fridge was complementary but we were missing the complementary items. Aside from the room being very small and tight quarters, the phone in the room was also not working so we couldn’t call the front desk or room service during the stay. Overall, disappointed in the lack of hospitality. The hotel restaurant also was a let down when it came to good service.

The PEOPLE! The Staff was efficient, knowledgeable, personable, professional and it was apparent that all employees we spoke with and dealt with Front Desk, Dining Room, Room Service, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Management - that everyone enjoyed their job. Location was Great and having direct access to Victoria Station was a Huge Bonus. We will be back and definitely be recommending to others.

Superb historic hotel. Great location. Excellent bar and tea room. Kind staff. Two quibbles: the breakfast is over-priced, average quality and extremely crowded. One of the two lifts were broken for the entire week which meant long waits. Not acceptable in a hotel of this standard.

It was....ok, beautiful when we walked in- a really stunning building but the rooms were nothing special, the same as a modern hotel- pillows and bedding were worn. We were very glad we got an expedia discount and didnt pay full price because I wouldnt have thought it was worth it. We only needed the hotel for a few days before heading to my family's so it wasnt a huge or special trip so we didnt care it was an average stay. Front desk staff were hit and miss, horrific attitude when we landed-the guy was more interested in embarrassingly flirting with the concierge instead of attending to guests, just something we noticed sitting for 3hrs in the lobby. Valets and doormen were wonderful and proximity to Victoria was perfect.

Rude!

Disappointed. We will never stay again. My wife was ill and had to see a doctor at noon. But we we were denied late check out at 10pm and were told that every hour after 12pm would cost us GBP 30. The delivery was stern and patronising- flat out rude!

Nice but small rooms, new and fresh bathroom. I had a single city view room which was great, nothing to complain about. Location is extremely central, with most top tourist attractions within walking distance from the hotel. Good value if you want prime central London location. The hotel is in the immediate proximity of Victoria Bus & National Rail terminal, but room was still very quiet and it was in no way a nuisance.

Weekend in town…

Staff helpful and friendly. Bars and restaurants good. Very central location, great for transport options to all over London. Only steps in and out of the hotel, no ramps and more stairs to some of the rooms. Room small but adequate, clean and comfortable.

Great location.

Excellent location for tube, trains, buses and Gatwick Express. Lots of good options around. Also close to a few theatres. I chose this hotel because we had an early morning flight from Gatwick and the train was easy to catch.

Lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel, nicely refurbished. V comfy stay. Rooms on first floor don't have clear windows, it didn't bother us a it's winter and we were out most of the day. Great breakfast. Reception is lovely and nice staff.

Our stay was not up to the standards of our previous two visits in 2018 and 2022. There was a 2-3 day problem with the TVs hotel wide. One of the two small elevators was out of service for over two days.
