The location of the hotel is great. This is a good hotel if u are traveling light for a few days since provide very little place for luggage or clothes. Our group had 2 people to a room. The bathroom counter space was less then i was expecting. my partner & i needed to store r bathroom stuff when we weren't in the bathroom getting ready for the day. The staff were very good about answering questions about hotel & the city of london especially @ ck-in desk about practical advise about getting to 'Tottenham' stadium to watch the Bears play.
The hotel is in close proximity to 'hop-on/hop-off' transportation or 'tube'.
There some really good restaurants in walking distance.x
Great place to stay for a one night pit stop when traveling from London to Edinburgh as it is close to Kings Cross. Beds were so comfortable. Room was extremely small, but it didn't matter much to us since we weren't staying there for long. Hotel had a great breakfast and bar area that we took advantage of. Would stay there again if it were for just one night, probably not longer as there is no were to put your luggage.
The hotel is extremely okay. The double rooms on the 8th floor are tiny, you can hardly get past the bed at the foot of it and the whole place needs some serious refurb as lots of bits are just very used and dated and broken in places.
The reception and restaurant areas look nice and the breakfast was pretty decent. There were water coolers available to get some water which was nice.
The service was also very okay. I was told my friends will be able to check in before I arrive but upon arrival they were told they had to wait for me which was frustrating as this was very late in the night.
I would choose Royal National hotel down the street instead, also budget but was definitely in a better condition and nicer to stay at
My father used to stay at this hotel for business over 50 years ago and i occasionally joined to attend a sporting event. There was therefore a nostalgic content.
I dislike writing negative reviews but this one.. The “comfort” room was tiny and arrangement not well thought. The hangers were not even next to each other and slippery, the bathroom so tiny you cannot bend to wash your feet, and carpet dusty. Greeted by a not so friendly receptionist, no early checkin available but you still can book last minute online, lift so small you have to get in sideways if you’re of a bigger build.. the list goes on. Apart from the convenient location, not a place that really allows you to relax. Please don’t stay longer than a day there.
Location of the hotel is good. Close to public transportation stations (train, Tube, etc.). Also lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel facility is reasonably clean. On the other hand, the room is small where the beds sank showing signs of wear off. The sink in the bath room has the faucet installed on the side which is inconvenient. In terms of service, I wanted to borrow an umbrella from the hotel, but I had to pay for renting it! Other hotels would let customers borrow their umbrellas without charge.
