No a/c I repeat…no a/c
No elevator…they put as on floor 4 …
And because of my wife condition they moved as to floor 2. ….
Nice and convenient location.
Very decent breakfast.
This is a Dirty and old Hostel, not a Hotel, I just slept 1 night, for the other nights I had to make a reservation in other hotel and spend more money. The pictures that show the hostel seems that the hostel is in good shape, but the reality is totally different.

I could hear the trains running underneath the floor of my room even though I was on the 2nd floor. Tiny room overlooking a park with homeless people sleeping all night

There is no potable water in the rooms. There was not a sign in one of the rooms we were in that said the water was non potable . There are a lot of places to stay near by with potable water. No where on their website did it say the water was non potable. The person that checked us in did not smile and was not friendly. This was a male. The staff next day was amazing. The breakfast was great! No elevator. We knew this though. The stairs are steep and narrow.
This stately older hotel was located in a quiet, yet active area. Close to trains, subway, buses made the hotel accessible to everything. Several nearby parks for walking and relaxing, including St. James Park and Hyde Park. Rooms and common areas were very clean. Rooms are European small but workable with excellent newer bathrooms. "continental" breakfast was really a full breakfast, self serve with a number of helpful staff. Good experience.
Good location just 1min away from. Paddington station.
We were 2 adults and 5 kids (reserved one room 5 beds). Overall hotel is clean and good breakfast (for cooked English breakfast has to pay extra £6 per person). Tbh room was a bit small for 5 people but well, when in London you only use room for shower and sleep so did not really mind.
Helpful 24hr reception.
Overall good value for money.

No a/c in the rooms, noisy and rooms vibrate from the underground trains
Quaint little hotel near train and tube station. Very walkable. Good restaurants nearby. Nice breakfast. Clean. In nice neighborhood. Kept our luggage safe for several hours after our check-out. Would stay here again.
We have stayed in 14 different places throughout England and Scotland. Where do I begin.... This place is by far the worst! Checkin we were basically ignored and the reception guy had an attitude of he couldn't be bothered. He was uninviting and no communication. We had to drag our bags 2 flights up. There were two of us and the room was a cracker box. Only 1 hard pillow per bed so my Sister went to ask for another pillow and the reception guy gave her a hard time. The bathroom would be virtually impossible for any bigger person to fit. The shower was falling apart. There is a sign next to the sink saying unpottable water, so dont brush your teeth in the sink :((( the noise of the hotel with bangs and loud noises went on all night until morning. And then outside early morning were loud work trucks with constant beeping and banging things the whole morning. We are incredibly disappointed to say the least that this is how we spent our last night in the UK....just awful!

Needs some serious renovation. The mattress was not comfortable. The bathroom difficult to maneuver. Serves its purpose for 1 nite.

Great location. Very clean. Amazing number of electrical outlets. Small rooms but no shortage of facilities - desk, cupboard, fridge, kettle, etc. Some noise from outside. Only problem for me were the stairs. No lifts. I was booked in on 4th floor. Not appropriate for older travelers unless they have very strong knees!
This is a budget hotel in Paddington. It is very conveniently located close to the Paddington Underground in a nice neighbourhood. However it does not have air conditioning or a lift - and the stairs are steep and narrow. Great if you’re young and fit, challenging for older folk toting big bags.
Good location however hotel is more like a hostel! No lifts and very steep stairs with no one to help with bags. The building also shakes regularly from 6am to 12:30am with subway noise! It badly needs refurbishment too.

Liked: 1) it's location to main Train station hub. 2) it's old style Victorian building charm 3) price was very economical
Disliked: 1) the in room super small WC..the sink was nearly over the toilet, to wipe and pull up your pants you had to either come out into the room..or squeeze past the sink and use the shower area 2) the pay phone and public WC on the staircase were both out of order [for awile from the dust on the sign on both ] 3) for this warmer weather a bigger electric fan[than the small one provided] would do a better job in cooling the room

The only thing bad was (as a woman of 72) there's no lifts and i had to climb 75 stairs even my son in law was out of breath after climbing all those stairs but everything else was good.
Warning to others— you do not want to stay here. There is no lift the first floor is zero so expect 3-4 flights of stairs. No air conditioning but a fan is provided, the weather was quite chilly but our room was hot throughout the night with the window open. Twin bed was not only tiny but old and lumpy from use, extremely uncomfortable. Room smelled horrendous from sewer fumes.
