The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of South Bank. It made it easy to walk in either direction to see the major attractions. The service was wonderful and the room was very comfortable.

Bizarre check out

The rooms and location of this hotel are great. I find it so odd though that a hotel that charges £300 a night allows the reception staff to ask for a tips when checking out. I’ve never experienced it in any hotel before. Surely a hotel that charges such high prices for everything can afford to pay their staff better so they don’t have to ask for tips when customers are leaving

The room was clean and large. They need to have more space to empty your suitcase like a dresser. Wish they had king size beds. Location wasn’t the best in my opinion as a first time visitor to London.

Good hotel in a great location: easy walk to Borough Market, the Globe Theatre and Southbank Centre. Some extra charges were a bit of a surprise. Excellent restaurant and bar.

Not worth the hype this property has , couple of staffs in front desk were nice , rest of them were very rude .. Sea containers restaurant doesn’t have much options in the menu for dinner , very limited menu … Layness one of the most awarded cocktail bar …. Not worth the hype … the local bars in USA make much better cocktails … Overall it’s Average for a 5 Star hotel …

Everything about this Hotel is excellent - the rooms - the bars - the food - the location. The only thing that stopped me giving it 5 stars is being asked at checkout to pay for a service charge for staff at the hotel. This felt awkward and uncomfortable and refusal embarrassing. I do not expect this request and it left a bad taste at the end of a wonderful stay.

Good location, comfy bed. Room nice but needed a few tweaks. Shower not working temperature wise. Broken hair dryer. Cleaning cloths left in room. Good but expected great for 5 star prices and rating. Charges service charge on check out despite declining this. Really took the shine off the stay Management not really interested in feedback
