A great hotel, spacious rooms and ideal
Location for the South Bank and theatres in general. Particular special mention to a staff member called Oxanna who was wonderful and ensured my friend and I were on the same floor.
Very good value for money. Staff is very kind and helpful. The location is quite strategic, being located walking distance from Westminster and with the Lambeth North underground station 3 minutes away, in few stops you can be in any hot spot you like. I definitely would consider it again for future visits.
This was my fourth or fifth time staying at Marlin Waterloo and unfortunately probably my last. I don't remember having a problem with noise on my pervious stays but it was a consistent problem this visit. The guests on either side were extremely loud (banging wardrobe doors, talking excessively loud from 1am to 4am+, banging the room door multiple times in a row) plus the added delight of the fire alarm going off at 1:43 am and NO STAFF MEMBER COMMUNICATING WHAT WAS GOING ON ONCE WE REACHED THE LOBBY. It was a false alarm but you only learned that if you could find the employees to ask. It was not handled well at all.
Very comfortable stay in London. On arrival you are greeted by very friendly staff and the smell of the hotel was beautiful. Marlin you are missing a trick here i would happily have bought some reed diffusers if you had them on sale.
Hotel is a few minute walk from Lambeth Tube Station, which gives you easy access to the whole of London. 10 minute walk to London Eye and Embankment. Sainsbury convenience store is right next door.
The hotel was spotless. Room clean, warm and comfortable with every amenity that you could need, ie kettle, microwave, small hob, and all plates cutlery etc plus the complimentary L'Occitane toiletries were beautiful.
Highly recommended and now our preferred choice for staying in London
We had an amazing stay. The room was clean, and looked like the photos. Although next to the trains, we had no issues with noise. The bed was comfortable, amenities were available, and the staff was friendly, accommodating and always greeted you with a smile. The best thing was the location. Less than a 2 minute walk to Lambeth North and less than 10 min walk to Waterloo station. Also, right out the door there is a couple grocery stores that stay open late, and tons of restaurants within walking distance. Clean and convenient hotel! We will stay again!
We originally booked a room with a king he’s. We’re given a room looking at a brick wall with a double bed. After complaining, and paying an extra 30 pounds, we we given a room with a king bed and a better view.
great location for south bank, close by to st Thomas hospital and other sights such as the London eye and Big Ben! was a little tricky to find but once located it smelt amazing and the room was clean, spacious, quiet (613. staff were welcoming and assisted me when my room key wasn’t working, I wasn’t prepared for having to do the room key and check in on screens which felt a bit impersonal especially as there were friendly staff upon arrival netting who were very happy to help. Price paid for 1 night clouding tax was £116 (Wednesday evening) which was a steal for London and the fantastic location, would definitely stay again.
Fantastic Hotel. Last minute Booking (literally about an hour before check-in, as let down elsewhere). All ready for me. Room space great with kitchen area and facilities. Bed very comfortable.
