Super conveniently located across the road from Kings Cross St Pancras in London, it was a little tricky to find initially as the entrance around the corner from the main road address. It would have been nice to know that the hotel has stairs everywhere; out the front, to access the lift to the room). This made navigating with my heavy suitcase challenging. Overall, it was a good place to stay ahead of our early train from St Pancras International and while it is very basic accommodation, the view of Kings Cross St Pancras was pretty magical.

On booking my two day break I was advised breakfast was included, however when I did ask about it on arrival I was told room only. The rooms are dated with holes in the wall filled in with poly filler. We were not shown where the bar or restaurant was, there was no information about the hotel in the room either. On return from to the hotel later in the evening you had to knock to get in which is not great. The photos are more nicer that inside the hotel itself.dark hair on the shower walls definitely not ours. Last thing there is building work going opposite the hotel which I was not told about or in the details on the hotel.com website.

Shocking
Mould around window, Stains on walls and ceiling in bathroom around shower. Got bitten by something on my leg while in bed, come out in hives. Staff wasn’t approachable and seemed rude. Demanded a £100 deposit on check in then didn’t want to give it back until I asked for it. Bed was so very uncomfy. Wouldn’t personally stay here again. (Very dated inside & out)

OK but quite deteriorated
Hotel itself was not bad, but got room in the basement. It was hard to open the window that only allowed few inches so not too good to ventilate. Room was quite deteriorated, which is why I consider the £100 deposit a bit ridiculous. Floors looked quite damaged and ceiling in the bathroom seemed to be falling apart and be stuffed with paper to hide some holes. Also fan didn't work so bathroom was filling with steam super quickly and adding to it lack of option to open the window properly, was quite scared fire alarm would activate. Also air con heating is super loud so it makes it a bit hard to sleep at night, same as all the travelers that pass and shut the door loudly right around the room. Also was an inch of loosing my deposit as I paid cash and wasn't asked at the check out how did I pay it so if I was forgetful person, I would have forgotten about it and paid extra £100 for the room, whcih seems quite unfair.

Eurostar Kings Cross

Close to Eurostar but pretty basic for the price
We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the Eurostar as we had an early train. This hotel was probably one of the closest you could get to the station so it served its purpose for that with just a 5 minute walk to St Pancras. Despite the impressive photos, it was actually very basic The room was clean and the bathroom was nice but we had expected something a little better for the price. There is a lift but you have to go down some stairs to access it and our room on the third floor also had more stairs to get to the door - not ideal with 3 heavy suitcases. Soundproofing of the rooms really bad as we were woken by a family who arrived at 4am and then proceeded to have a long video call to someone for about half an hour. I guess this is a hazard of a hotel in such a good location close to travel networks. The staff were friendly, especially the reception guy who checked us in. Not sure we would stay there again for that price but it was fine for what we needed for this flying visit.
