A brilliantly run hotel of unbeatable value. Welcoming, peaceful, garden oasis in wonderful Bloomsbury with most of London in walking distance. Difficult to write a review which doesn’t sound as if they paid me How about, rooms not stylish but feel like home,f home had workspace with wide mirrors and many smiling staff brightening your day

The most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, chiefly because of its outstanding management and friendly, intelligent, efficient. staff. It lifts my heart to “come home” to the Bedford It is not a five star of course, but has all I need, and a unique, brilliant garden, growing green in the Bloomsbury spring Only wishes for improvement : the Botánica restaurant isn’t even trying seriously. Ordering medium rare, getting well done, and having the kitchen close one hour early without warning, learning it was closed only when I tried to order dessert and coffee! Not even a real apology and no real offer of a discount Such s lovely setting to waste Haven’t tried the other restaurant and there are a dozen in the area plus a small Sainsbury’s Still .. I guess it saves me money. If it were good I would eat there every night It’s really just s bar Why not do great bar snacks Also on my wish list: being able to phone from the room, even if at the ruling absurd London hotel prices, However in emergenies they let me dial from downstairs Wi-fi is very slow and flaky. I’d pay for premium if it existed Don’t want to end on negatives! Breakfast has a great setting and spread. Bed is very comfortable. Large mirror and working table. Wonderful very hot and very cold water in a mixer tap. Fantastic bath with good handles for safety. Best lighting Fridge with small freezer compartment for ice cubes and a small ice cream Garden view and higher floor skies! .

Staff, from manager to hall vacuumer, warm, smart, smiling, create a remarkable ambience. Beautiful garden oasis, convenient to shopping, restaurants and all Bloomsbury offers the discerning visitor. Own restaurants splendid, breakfast buffet looking out on garden crackling fireplace, book exchange a great start to day A jewel. Virtually unique retention of baths, and good shower Desk, wide mirror, fridge with little freezer which can hold ice cubes or an ice cream. Larger TV A little battered but lovable Radiators better than blowing fan, regulated. Easily Only wish a faster wi-fi or a paid premium one too, and perhaps old-fashioned ability to dial Expect on the hottest days west-facing garden views hot late in the dY, bit great curtains To me, the view of great dome of University College, Senate House which houses my doctoral,dissertation, and the garden growing green, open skies,combine the world’s greatest city with nature. Magnificent Russell Square has splendid dining Bookshops, Brunswick Shopping Centre, the new Kings Cross, theatres, Covent Garden Good for tube, brilliant for buses Comfortable lobby.. walk through the automatic doors and feel,you are home

Really nice hotel, perfect for what i wanted - a central place to crash. Really nice staff and garden area. Bit tired in some of the decor but location, service, shower and breakfast were excellent so really happy with my stay.
