Terrible - except for the breakfast.
Room was spacious enough for its price and the breakfast was good. Other than that, everything else was terrible. I mean the shower didn’t even have a shower curtain, which means every time someone takes a shower, the whole bathroom gets soaked. Come on, a freaking SHOWER CURTAIN!!?? That’s like the most basic thing. This is dangerous considering how slippery the water made the bathroom floor. How PATHETIC is that!! To add to that, the bathroom itself was too small and you need to be an expert in gymnastics to take a sh*t. What else? The room wasn’t properly cleaned. There was dust and a foul smell, which made me sneeze a lot. Mattress was too old and should have been thrown away ages ago. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep very well.

I am happy with the hotel. I am glad that I could travel with my dog. The service was very polite and nice, especially the housekeeper, the jung lady, and the lady at the reception from the morning shift and the breakfast lady with glasses and short blond hair. Thank you.

Staff were friendly, they all work hard to make sure stay is enjoyable. Room very clean. Plenty towels and tea/coffee in room. Looks like they are cleaning outside up, needs it as bit weather worn. Breakfast was lovely always plenty. Beautiful decor inside , lovely seating areas to relax in.

Basic. Don't be fooled by the website images.
The lady and gentleman behind the front desk were the saving grace of this hotel - they were so friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault them The beds were good - comfy mattresses and bedding was fine. The room did not, in anyway, reflect the images of a twin room and a bathroom on the website. The shower was in a cupboard with a miniscule sink, barely enough room to undress or dry especially with the weird folding door closed. The toilet was in a cupboard opposite and, for some reason, the heated towel rail was in there and not near the shower. The toilet paper holder was broken. The curtains had disintegrating linings and the window had broken catches. Decor around the windows was In poor repair. The floor between 1 bed and the wall needed a good vacuum.There were no tea, coffee, milks etc on arrival although on request, these were refilled on the second day though the used cups and spoons were not replaced. Good job I had my own washing up liquid and tea towel! The tv was old and the remote -tv connection was very slow to work so we gave up trying to find the news. The room did what we needed - basic and generally clean but a disappointment based on the website images.

The location was ok nr beach front ..the room we was given was basement right under reception all night all we could hear is people walking in & out same in morning too hard to sleep .. windows frames rotted away unable to open. ..room was large bathroom needs updating.. black hair in bath not from us

Great location, poor hotel
The location on the main promenade is good and close to the theatre and a few restaurants. As for the room - very poor. We were in room 50 directly under reception and all the squeky floorboards and stamping feet of everyone entering/exiting made for a noisy stay. The bedroom had a couple of patches where paint was peeling off part of the wall, the curtain was half hanging off the rail, and the bottom was literally hanging out of one of the chairs. The bathroom had black mould and tiles literally hanging off the wall. It was so tatty, as was the general appearance of the exterior of the hotel. It really needs modernising (maybe try matching taps in the bathroom as ours were odd) and defo a lick of paint.

the staff at this hotel are wonderful nothing is to much trouble they are patient - helpful and understanding to your needs they even made me food that was not on the menu and if mistakes are made they do there best to correct them kind regards norman

The staff is fighting a losing battle with an old hotel desperately in need of renovation. They were incredibly helpful and responsive when the toilet overflowed in the first 5 minutes of our visit and started leaking into the lobby. It was clearly not the first time this had happened and they moved us to other rooms. There were issues with the fire alarms and the hotel restaurant closes much earlier than the reported hours. Overall, our stay was a fiasco and I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff did their best - it’s not their fault, it’s the fault of the owners.

Room 54 loose tiles in Bathroom. Noise from generators via a bathroom window that had a open circular wind vent in in. Bath exterior cracked. Dust on the top of the curtains.. Positives the beds was clean and the curtains did block out the light.

Our room was in the basement. It was damp. Had an awful musty smell. Tiny black flies in bathroom. Bathroom radiator rusty and tiles grubby. Bed linen felt damp. Curtains didn’t fit the window. All in all not a nice stay, we did ask for another room but were told there wasn’t any.
