Overall I was most happy with my stay at the Grand. Friendly staff & very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place which has had a lovely makeover. 👌

Nice room with sea view but dissapointed the Java bar closed early , good value
Bed mattress was rock hard, only 1 pillow each which were also very uncomfortable.
Bath had a large crack in it the spa jets not clean, shower hose leaked badly,
Overall not very good
This hotel is an absolute sham. Service is non existent. Genuinely the worst stay I’ve ever had anywhere.

It was just somewhere last minute for us to stay at for the food festival. Luckily we went for lots of cocktails in the eve but although we came back at a descent time, there were drunk parents in the lobby with children still awake running about and shouting. It was almost like a hotel version of what you’d imagine Butlins to be like… such a shame because the views are amazing and the hotel so grand with its sweeping staircase but the lack of hot water and the noise until god knows what time, put a huge damper on it so unfortunately we wouldn’t be returning
Our room was very good, we booked a sea view and it had a double aspect, so we had a view across south bay and a view towards the Spa. It was out of season so we were prepared for reduced access to amenities, but we were unable to get dinner in the hotel which was a bit disappointing. This happens regularly in England, you are expected to have Sunday lunch and no evening meal, time for our hospitality trade to make some changes. The restaurant in the Grand closed very early and was primarily for those who had booked a dinner package, hopefully this is better in high season.

Needs a good clean. More vending machines clean balcony up so can sit on it.
Damp smell.
Overall lovely decor, building and comfy bed.
TV signal terrible. More coffee please.
We both like the history of the Hotel. How clean and well the maintenance of the Hotel is doing so well. The maintenance staff were really happy and friendly. Our room was a twin with a beautiful view of the sea.
