Ok stay.

First time staying at the Ramada South Mimms. Was ok have stayed in better for similar price. Rooms felt a bit dated, no usb sockets near bed or plugs...the 13amp which was near the bed didnt work! ☹️ Also prefer a non fixed shower head which this room had however shower was pretty powerful. Funnily enough the towels were a big plus! They were very soft and good sizes as well as the bathroom. Room was clean and the added touch of a fridge was good also as not many hotels have them as standard.

A fair night

Hotel was easy to find. Plenty of parking. Easy to use if disabled . Sum up. It was a room. Double bed. Kettle and tea/ coffee. With the services right next door it was easy to get food as well.

The reception staff were excellent. Very polite and helpful. We didn't actually see any other staff. Position wise the hotel is very good and there are decent food options within the service station. The room was clean and spacious although somewhat tired. We would definitely stay here again

Fire alarm fault

There was fault with the fire alarm, which went off twice between 11.25pm and 12am. The communication about the fault was very poor and guests were left standing in the reception area with no information about the situation of what to do. This alarm fault caused a lot of disruption. However, it was the lack of communication which was most frustrating and worrying.

Mistake

What a mistake to make. It’s a service station hotel and it’s very basic. Bed was awful. Room very old fashioned. Staff lovely and very friendly though.

The WiFi didn’t work at all which we needed due to working whilst I was staying at the hotel. Plug sockets in the room were so low on one side under the tv that we couldn’t plug our phone chargers in at all. We thought there was on site breakfast and restaurant facilities. A bit disappointed that we had to use the next door service area facilities for food as we sure suggested the hotel did the breakfast. Shower wax fantastic though, very powerful.

Adequate but needs a refresh!

Chosen as 10 min drive from Northern Line tube station for our evening in Camden. Good price. I have used this hotel previously and rooms are adequate (prev rooms have been on ground floor). However, we stayed in room 119, this time on the 1st floor. The bedroom floorboards were quite noisy when you walked. The floor tiles in the bathroom were all uneven and the one by the sink moved slightly downwards when you stood on it, like the tiles collapsing into rotten floorboards. I think someone could quite easily cut their toe or trip on these broken, uneven tiles. Also took forever to push the plug back up in the sink to empty the water. We almost gave up and left it full. Good shower, powerful and constant temperature. Bedroom was ok and bed and pillows comfy. Nice that you can get coffee, drinks and some snacks at reception.

Heavily stinks all around the corridor and particularly in the room. The staff keep spraying chocking air fresheners to subdue the smell in the room, yet the smell overrides. Staff claimed that the room could not be changed because they were fully booked. I didn’t believe this. Dirty carpet and furnitures surfaces. Not worth the price paid an any way. I wished I had somewhere else to go that night. Checked in very late due to late working hours. Couldn’t sleep throughout the night and checked out pretty early in the morning so as not to chock to death.
