It’s ok
The check in desk was quite sub-par service. Had a reservation and 1 person ahead of us (that did not), and it took 35 minutes just to check in. Not very friendly on aware. There were always fun things going on around us. The pool, basketball court, workout room, even laundry! Keeps you busy, that is for sure. Very close to attractions. Will stay here again, will be requesting a room that doesn’t smell damp.

Get what you pay for.
This location was very cheap for the area, but there were issues too. Tv was broken, wifi didnt work, the ceiling was coming down in the bathroom, the toilet never stopped running. Was fairly clean, and do have to say the linens were extremely comfortable. Dont expect high end and you should be at least ok at the price.

This property looks nothing like the photos. It’s dirty and unsafe. We had people try to get in our room at like 1 in the morning. We had to ask for a hair dryer (that was supposed to already be in the room) 3 times over 2 days before we got one. And when we needed more towels, we had to ask twice. It took more than 40 minutes to check in but that wasn’t the front desk girls fault, she was alone during check in during a holiday. The phone in our room didn’t work, neither did the light switch, the heat, the wifi, or the bathroom fan. And their “breakfast” was just cereal and coffee. The ice machine in our building was completely destroyed. I thought I was getting a deal with the price but now I know why it’s so low, trust me it’s not worth it. At all.

Not the deal your looking for.
No internet for the 13 day stay their and no reimbursement for it... no deck over looking the "pond" which is actually a sewer over flow gully. Room dated to the mid 80's water stains all over even on the ceiling... garbage beds... but i guess you get what you pay for at $38 a night...

We never stayed. We checked in at the front desk which is mandatory to actually see the room. It was a disgusting dump. There was black mold on wall near headboard of bed, bathroom door wouldn’t shut and it stunk really bad. We left immediately and went to the front desk (which has a 20 minute wait and told the desk clerk. He acknowledged and agreed that they need a complete remodel and promptly canceled our charge. Hotels.com on the other hand said once we check in there’s nothing they could do. …unacceptable. I’ve reported the situation to our credit card co. and can’t imagine feeling confident in ever using hotels.com again.

Horrible Stay at Maingate Lakeside Resort
Our stay at Maingate Lakeside Resort was a nightmare. The fire safety measures were non-operational, the room smelled of pesticides, and there were stained walls, bed coverings, cobwebs, bugs, and a stain resembling blood. Hair and dirty sheets were on the bed. We had to wait two and a half hours to check in, putting us in our room well after 1 AM. Many guests were checking out as soon as they checked in. We had to Uber to Walgreens and spend $65 on beach towels to cover the bed, sleeping in our clothes. Without a vehicle, we were left stranded. After securing another hotel for the following nights, I requested a refund for the next 2 nights, explaining the room's condition. The attendant was unaffected, refused the refund request, and we never received our deposit/resort fee back as promised. Stay away from this hotel at all costs.
